Yes but you know good and well as an organization you pay Tyler and then move him if you can eventually

I do understand that just having the salary on the books, but I also haven't seen anything that indicates that Herro has a robust market either

The chances of that being a positive value contract is very low

I was going to bring this up in the draft thread but I’ll talk about it here

Let’s talk about players who fell in the draft the last 5 years or so…

Knecht
Whitmore

Who else famously fell in drafts the past 5 years?

I wanna see if it tells us that players who fall actually don’t really produce that well and fell for a reason or not

Knecht and Whitmore are vastly different situations

Don’t say this about Tyler then big up Reed Sheppard bro lol

But no Tyler’s positive value is this season and the next two

Happens to most players

Look at Paul George making $52 mil on average for like the next 3 seasons

And Paul George isn't a positive value contract lol, if Philly wants to get off that deal they will have to attach an asset

I don't know what Reed Sheppard has to do with this conversation lol

lol you not understanding me today

I’m saying Tyler’s contract until the extension kicks in is positive

Then like most players who sign big deals, at some point they turn into neutral or negative contracts

I was using Paul George as an example of a negative contract

Would a team want to pay Paul george $56 mil in 2027/2028 or $50 for Tyler Herro?

As far as Reed I don’t wanna hear this anti Herro talk and then see you post about Caucasian Bryn Forbes

I’m not having it lol

I’m not comparing situations I just want to examine players who fell in the draft and check on them and see if falling in the draft can be a good measuring stick as far as drafting

Who else fell in the draft since 2020 big bro?

I mean Knecht fell because he was a senior and already 24 which is normally how it goes

Whitmore fell because of people being overly scared of his medicals and interview......him falling to 20 was absurd in real time and more of an indictment on most of these front offices being ran by idiots

Okay but they both fell in the draft bro

The reason I don’t really care for I just want to see if players falling means historically they don’t do well

I’m doing this with this upcoming draft in mind

But I can’t think of guys outside of the two above so those are the only two examples I have

I just want more examples/data

I don't think Herro is on a positive value contract right now either lol

Like you aren't putting Herro on the market making 31 mil this season and then 33 mil while being extension eligible

Who around the league is gearing up to pay Herro his next contract which will take him to his age 31 season?

It's about what the market dictates....of course he's worth more to Miami right now because you don't want to lose him for nothing and what else are you going to do?

Nobody else feels like they need to pay him that kind of money

We just saw this during the Dame negotiations, teams weren't really interested in taking Tyler Herro back

I feel you, it's an inexact science for sure with a lot variables

Only ones I can kind of think of off the top besides those two are Jaden Hardy and AJ Griffin

Immanuel Quickley makes $32 mil bro…

Herro is a positive contract right now

There’s also no way we can know about who wants to pay Tyler into his age 31 season in a few years

The Tyler teams didn’t want to take back during dame time isn’t the Tyler now

Filipowski and Collier off the top of my head but I feel like I'm missing a couple guys.

You keep comparing him to other bad contracts and overpaid players lol

Yeah because he’s better than them

Jerami grant running around making $32, $34, and $36 mil and we talking about Herro
