NBA Ratings Up This Season!

I know it won’t but this years playoffs should put to bed most of the “NBA is rigged” talk. They could’ve had LeBron vs. Steph in the 2nd round. Could’ve put the knicks in the finals so they’d have at least one major market team. Instead we have OKC vs. Indiana.

With that said, I don’t plan on watching most of the finals cuz I just think there’s nothing anyone can do with OKC this year and it’s pretty much a given they win it all. Not because of the actual cities involved in the Finals.

I’m still standing on my theory that white America doesn’t care about the NBA until it gets their Caitlin Clark.

Only the Blacks Jews and recent immigrants ( Asians, non Mexican Hispanics) will continue to watch.

I'm pretty sure most of the NBA's money comes from White Americans. Have you seen what the crowds look like in Indiana and OKC? lol

What do the crowds look like in NY LA CHI The BAY?

The majority of the NBA’s money comes from the TV contracts, and TV Networks want to renegotiate.

Why does the NCAA tournament get higher ratings than the NBA playoffs?

It’s a generational thing as well.
The MLB is watched by majority white Americans but the TV ratings have been dropping as well.

Name the best players in MLB? The majority are Dominican and the best one is Japanese.

Watching a game live in person and on TV are to different commitments.

What are we doing here bro? White people are still out here spending a lot of money on NBA tickets, merchandise, and TV packages. This isn't a debate.

This thread is about NBA TV ratings.

This is from 2015, so ten years later do you think white tv viewership has increased or decreased?

Less people have cable TV, folks are watching games on stream East…

Why are WNBA TV ratings way up since 2 years ago?

This topic is about TV ratings, but your comment implied that white people don't care about the NBA anymore and are waiting on a great white hope. That's not true. White people still spend money on the sport.

What's happening with the NBA and the WNBA aren't comparable. The WNBA needed a star that represented a change in the game. It certainly helps that Caitlin is white. The NBA has other issues it has to joust with.

I didn’t say white folks aren’t buying tickets to the games or merchandise.

I said they ain’t watching NBA games on TV.

Yes on the court the NBA has talent issues, folks being too political issues…

In the Jordan/Kobe era there wasn’t any real big white stars, but they were actually balling out like they had pride just being in the NBA, that ain’t the case nowadays.

There are a whole lot of issues going on but all I’m saying is ratings are down because white folks stopped watching the NBA on TV.

You didn't say the bold in the post I actually responded to, but if that's what you meant, then it's all good.

It’s the league fault for always pushing teams like the Lakers

From the refs helping them beat Portland and Sacramento to making sure certain players get drafted by certain teams

They push players instead of teams
