@Freeman @Al G. Rhythm

I know we talked about Cleveland yesterday but I heard something that I hadn't even really considered

Cavs need wings and size, Rockets need a guard.....hypothetically speaking would you do Garland and something built around/involving a combination of Tari, Jalen, Brooks, Bari, draft compensation?(not all of these players of course)

Still think the Cavs should stay the course but maybe something for the deadline or next summer?

Are you okay with Reed still coming off the bench after this trade is made?

How effective do you think the rockets will be in a scenario where you have Garland but lose Tari or brooks or Jabari defensively?

Jalen green and brooks is cool next to Mitchell so I don’t exactly hate it BUT

You have to pay Jalen and add that to Mobley and Mitchell and that’s expensive as hell alone

But I mean if you’re trying to win I guess…

Idk I’m really thinking out loud

I really don’t think the Cavs need to do anything really

Just figure out what’s the plan after they lose Ty Jerome in FA

Can they just switch Hunter and Strus in the playoffs and not get hurt? Lol

My boy…

Okay I’m asking because I’m trying to figure out what the hell are the blazers going to do with this team draft time

Are they going to take another guard?

Who are you prioritizing?
The easy answer is to move Simons & Grant. Might have to overpay for a star to come in or embrace the youth movement and continue build within.

Oh no the blazers are NOT star hunting

And I doubt they can even move Grant right now

I’m just saying between

Deni
Sharpe
Scoot
Clingan

Which one of these players is going to be the GUY moving forward

Then the lotto pick is going to be who? He’s gonna step on somebody’s toes somewhere if they play

You still have Ayton, Rupert, Murray, camara there

I’m really saying there has to be a hierarchy

I agree with you, I just thought it was interesting concept based on the needs of both teams

TBH if I was Cleveland I wouldn't seriously consider something like this unless it was Jabari because if you have him and Mobley in your front court that could be pretty intriguing

I do think Donovan needs to play with a real point guard and shouldn't be relied upon to be a primary ball handler

But yeah, ultimately I agree with you....try to consolidate Strus/Okoro, don't over pay Ty Jerome, you can find a backup pg on the market

Funny enough in the same discussion that floated out Okoro/Strus and a first to Miami for Andrew Wiggins lolol but said Miami shouldn't do that

He’s not in the league

Also take Bam for Trey Murphy and missi big dog

it’s unfortunate that his career is cooked but Lonzo woulda been good next to Mitchell for so much cheaper

Jarret essentially the same player he was back in BK

I think he's made some strides with his passing and hes extremely efficient ....he's still really good, does a nice job defending on the perimeter, excellent rebounder

I just don't what it is about the playoff where he doesn't show up.....got punked by the Knicks last year and the Pacers this year, not the most imposing front courts in the league

He’s improved in everything he was already pretty solid at while in BK. There’s nothing that jumps out that indicates he’s had this huge leap since coming to the Cavs.

Him getting punked around in the playoffs has always been a thing as far back as that Philly series when Jarred Dudley had to save him from getting dweebed out by Embiid of all niggas. I like Allen but he’s kinda soft. He isn’t gonna push niggas around in the paint and that toughness is the only thing missing in his game
