NXT Thread (6/2)

trick might fuck around and take that strap ain't no way he going out like this for for no reason

It was dumb then and it would be dumb now. Can't have another company wrestler win your top prize, how does that help them
Trick being the TNA champ would put more eyes on TNA because of the fact it’s rare that a wrestler from another company is holding another brand’s title. And in this case Trick whose the most over guy in NXT, apart of the WWE juggernaut, being the TNA champ is good business

Trick winning that title would be interesting. Cuz that would only galvanize the talent on TNA to get it back. That could make some good feuds.

Now if he doesn't...then where does he go from there? Do you call him up to the main?

Trick winning the title does several things:

- Puts more attention on TNA now that a WWE guy has their title

- Automatically creates a TNA “we have to get our shit back from the opp” storyline that can elevate someone in TNA into a main eventer on their brand (I would be shocked if they had Hendry win it back; makes no sense when they know he’s out the door)

- Prolongs Trick’s main roster call up. Cause let’s be honest: he isn’t ready. There’s nothing left on NXT for him to do but he still has work to do as a performer. Let him run matches against good TNA in-ring workers. When he drops the belt he can get called up

All it says is our guys are inferior to their guys
Everything Ice said is true. Itll give them a big story if trick takes the strap and somebody has to get it backk.

plus TNA is way down from where it use to be. I think they at the point where they just trying to make some shit shake and they feel like the partnership with WWE could do that even if it does mean they might have to make their guys look lesser or w/e. They still trying to land a TV deal and I think i read somewhere a month or so ago that they were close to doing it so maybe them being associated w/ WWE is helping since they are able to use their name and show clips/replays on their shows from WWE.

TNA a glorified internet wrestling show, but I don't mind it at all compared to NWA

That Darkstate promo package was good and Ashante showed out too last night

Trick this deep in and not ready is tragic. And ima be honest this raps are ass he needs to let that aspect go

Its not his fault; they hot-shotted this nigga seemingly outta nowhere due to the response he was getting in his first match against Iija. And you cant really blame niggas for wanting to capitalize on that. At the same time they didnt do him any favors with the booking cause the men's roster in NXT so thin there was hardly anyone for him to really sharpen his skills with AFTER Iija and Melo were gone. Thats why this brief TNA run should be good for him as long as they have him working with the high workrate guys like Eric Young, Brian Myers and obviously Santana to name a few. Trick has EVERYTHING: the look, the mic skills, the charisma, etc. He's borderline the total package. The ONE thing he needs to at least become average with is his in-ring. If he can become serviceable in the ring he's a guaranteed Main Eventer on the main roster.

and I dont think anyone think Trick's raps are particularly good
