She got away from the dude, it was a choice to go back. Y'all treating her like she's a kid
She dealing with a dude that can touch her anywhere on the planet. Plus she’s brainwashed into thinking he’s the best she can do. An abused woman’s self-worth is zero. They’ve been conditioned to believe all of their worth is tied into that abuser.

We’re all speculating so I’m just assuming based off of seeing the tape and her testimony. I haven’t heard anything from anyone, including Puff, to counter her testimony. Him paying her $20m to be quiet lends some credence to her claims too.

Where does coercion stop and choice start.

They asked her why she stay and did that stuff more than once. She said she loved him and she didn't want him to find someone else to do that shit with.

Puff ain't shit, and he did that girl dirty, but do ya'll really believe Cassie played no part in what happened? It was all forced on her? None of it was her choice?

Sound like Stockholm syndrome to me

Was she doing freak offs before Puffy & is she doing them now?

Where you been at bruh?

What's up Lab

Just living life bro, but every now & then, I pop up to stay active on the site.

Were her "choices" limited by her options? After a certain amount of abuse your choices ain't really choices anymore. You leave, he blows up a car, beats you some more and that person seemingly gets away with it among other things etc...it's not hard to see why a person thinks they have limited resources for help at a point.

I agree, and if she listed those type of things as her reasons for staying, it would make more sense. From what I read though, those weren't her reasons. She was asked why she stayed and continued to do things she didn't want to do and her answers were "I loved him" and "I didn't want him to do those things with anyone else." That doesn't really seem like coercion to me. It seems like a toxic relationship.

Didn't she say that she was still doing the freakoffs even after she took a break from Puff and was with Kid Cudi?

I know these situations are complicated, but it seems like we are creeping towards a point where personal responsibility is going out of the door. Puff is a scumbag for sure, and he did that girl wrong, but it seems to me that people are being swayed by how nasty their interactions were and not really looking at facts. Unless I missed it, Cassie herself doesn't seem to be claiming she was coerced. Her story seems to be that he caught her when she was young and dumb, and she fell for the okie doke. That's fucked up, but is it illegal?

So you don't think years of abuse counts as coercion? I mean the threat or acting on a threat is literally part of the definition and it's been alleged by multiple parties that's exactly what he was doing. I'd venture to say she got her part of her personal responsibility with the ass whoopings. And it doesn't nullify and minimize what Diddy is actually charged with because even by his own account these things did happen. The drugs, the violence, the sex parties all did happen. He's not on trial for Cassie so her involvement in terms of willingness or not doesn't really matter because the trial ain't about her. Its about him and other people.

The bold is part of the problem I'm talking about. People are literally saying Puff needs to go to jail because of what he did to Cassie. If the jurors feel like that, the Puff might wind up sent up the river because they believe Puff was making Cassie let guys piss on her when that doesn't sound like what was happening.

And yeah, the abuse was messed up. If he was on trial for that, I'd be all on board for him being convicted of that. However, you can't just equate abuse and coercion. Him beating her as manipulation to make here do what he wants would be coercion. Him beating her for no real reason other than him having angers issues is not coercion. I don't know which it was. All I can say is that Cassie has no reason now not to be honest, and she's not even alleging any of that. You guys are jumping to that conclusion. Cassie's stance seems to be that she was young and dumb, the relationship was extremely toxic, and it took her a while to move past it.

The capes in here is wild. Puff AND Cassie was fucking deviants. To say otherwise is dummy talk. Yes Puff was dirty for hitting that girl and whatever else but Cassie left and came back while in a relationship with that Cudi nigga. At some point accountability can't be overlooked.

BOTH of these niggas are weirdos, drug addicts, sexual deviants and was full grown adults. Puff was grimey for his bullshit but by her own admission she indulged in the fuckery.

Puff is a scumbag for sure, and he did that girl wrong
All that needs to be said here. Cassie ain't on trial here, and she's neither on the jury nor holding a gavel. Court is in session right now, you still got time to run over there and ask her the right questions so you can help Puff fight his case. Questions like, where does a nigga find enough pink cocaine to put in pouches and distribute amongst party guests?

I'm not following this argument too closely and I don't want to get involved but I see Stockholm syndrome popping up.

Stockholm syndrome has no consistent academic research verifying the veracity of it as a legitimate condition and it has never been added to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. I've also seen brainwashing pop up, which is also something of dubious pathology. All of that is to say that if these are the foundation for you argument, you should rethink your position.

Anyway, this case is nasty as fuck.
