The average person is going to be afraid of a gorilla. If you're going to have one side be all battle ready to die in the scenario then have the gorilla be on rampage mode

The human’s punches and kicks wouldn’t be effective.

No matter how many waves.

No matter how determined to die the humans are.

the one thing you don’t mention is how fragile the human mind is. The trauma of seeing many people violently die affects people. You have to factor that in

Bruh .. They not big as king Kong.. They're shorter than you on their hind legs.. I know for a fact that NOBODY is one shotting a gorilla. That's not even the plan.... But it can be worn down over time.

That's the part you don't seem to be willing to accept. But it will be worn down

And that's when the damage can be done.

I'm not suggesting people gonna beat up a raging gorilla in mid rampage.

I'm assuring you that once it's fought itself out... The remaining people can pull it apart at that point.. it's strength advantage is countered by its limited stamina.

Who is going to get worn down first tho? The people trying to get close enough to hurt a gorilla or the gorilla hurting people? Which one would take more effort?
