Why can't you just keep the young group together and let them grow in actual contenders ala OKC and Boston.....the only players I'd let go is maybe Green and most likely VanVleet(only cuz he's old and expensive) but the rest of them are young and learning how to put it all together...Brooks and Adams have also been valuable assets you can't necessarily find just anywhere....why can't they just get better by staying together and contending seriously for a title in the next couple of years?
Word but this is over reaction Tuesday.

Wasnt really making serious analysis. There is some overlapping skill sets that should get consolidated imo, but I haven't sat here and really thought it through.

Even with Jalen Green, mfer is super inconsistent but unless you get someone back who can create for themselves at the level Jalen has potential to do, then you kind of have no choice but to keep him and hope he develops consistency.

But for now, we down 3-1. Let us over react in peace

This was a good game. Warriors winning from toughness. The Rockets players been just as physical but the physicality isn't throwing the warriors off their game like it's throwing the rockets off their game.

12 missed free throws in a crucial playoff game is inexcusable though.

Keep Sengun and Amen and find new homes for everyone else.

This whole series but last night specifically was an encapsulation of the entire season

Jalen Green inconsistency, poor free throw shooting, no offensive strategy or the ability to get easy system buckets, dumb turnovers, Udoka not putting guys in position to succeed offensively.....these have been consistent themes all season and Golden State has done a great job exposing all of our weaknesses while also allowing us to shoot ourselves in the foot

You have to try to balance deciphering what's real and what's part of the process.....this is still the first time most of these guys have seen the postseason and the inexperience has showed so I'm willing to provide some grace in that regard

Now with that being said, have to move on from Jalen Green this summer...he's closer to a 6th man than a allstar caliber shooting guard

Your second point 100% correct.

This is a successful season regardless. Also need to put in perspective that gsw is not a true 7th seed. Had they had Butler all season, they more likely to be a a top 4 seed.

Udoka is a young Thibs though. This is what you get from him. He's gonna preach toughness and hard work, and get players to play hard, but he's not gonna put a creative offense together.

This is why it's important as fuck to get that 1 on 1 scorer in close games. Thibs has Brunson. Green not that dude clearly but theres not a ton of them dudes in the league.

Ignoring risk of injury for a second, Durant still the perfect fit imo

I've been trying to avoid saying that about Udoka(Young Thibs) but it's true lol....Elite defensive mind, brings intensity, gets guys to play hard but lack of creativity offensively and leaving so much on the table on that end of the court becomes a real problem in the playoffs

Like you said Thibs has Brunson and he is completely fine with him doing everything which isn't the best recipe for success when it comes to your offense but....Brunson is clearly good enough to do it and carry you offensively despite the lack of creativity from the coach

When you don't have that your half court offense is a cluster fuck like the Rockets

Can stress enough though this was always the plan and was necessary one way or the other....you do your true evaluations in the playoffs

The thing with this type of coach is that relying on the elite player to go 1 on 5 is good playoff basketball if you have the player for it. Teams are good, defenses are good, plays break down, and you need a player to be able to get 30 in 22-25 shots.

The issue is those players are difficult to find.

Im not saying change the coach. Udoka is still a good coach, and if nothing else he needs to be there for another 2-3 years to build the toughness and intensity in the players.

Udoka is also much younger than Thibs and he still might be able to work with some offensive minded coaches to implement a good system the next season or two.

Still can’t get over how fun the first half of last night was lol

These boys was just running around hitting each other each possession on some bad boys pistons shit for like 5 straight mins

Shit was hilarious because it was so blatant they weren’t trying to play ball forreal lol
