No kettlebell swings today but gotdamn my shoulder is sore! Ended up getting that drain loose with some wd40, a torch a hammer and a big wrench. Once I got that shit out.. then came the sledgehammer. That cast iron tub was no joke.. even broken into pieces that shit was heavy

At some point imma get this finished. Bought the house with the frame already built, so only thing I gotta add is the drywall.

...yeah I ain't did shyt wit that. Lol!

Basement was like that when I bought the house. Basement was like that when I sold the house.

I couldn't decide how I wanted it finished. Plus we was already deciding on a gettin newer house. So it didn't make sense to start work on the basement.

I had a weed like he described. Went to try to pull it and the muhfucka done turned into a tiny tree and shit and I couldn't pull it out so I had to cut it,

Today is Mother's Day...

... Unless your neighbor is outside cuttin the lawn or trimming or some shit like that, then it's "Get the fuck off yo lazy ass and come on outside and fix your lawn" Day. 'Cause that's all I see up and down the block. Went by my mom's crib and, sure as shit, mad lawnmowers out, muhfuckas trimming hedges and all kinda shit.

... So... Yeah... I was out there after I got back from moms' crib cuttin the grass and shit. I couldn't hit the trimmer 'cause I completely forgot that I ran out of line last fall.

house rewired finally and i decided to take it upon myself to do some light electrical work. Installed all the ceiling lights and I have some ceiling fans.. I wanted the ceiling fan switch control joint. Had one switch that controlled the ceiling fan light, one the closet light and one the ceiling fan itself. I didnt like the other toggle switches so I swapped it out

Took some trial and error but I finally figured it out. Might not seem like a big deal but im glad I did it and I now have some knowledge on how to do some shit I didnt know how to do before. Now the ceiling fan and light switch are all on one.

I fucked up.. Ordered some appliances and the fridge I got is too big to get into the damn door lol. I was gonna replace the door/frame anyway but the fridge gotta sit in the shed now until I sort that out 😭

Knocked out a wall that separated the mud room or whatever you call it from the kitchen to let some more light in and getting the windows replaced. Cant wait to be done with all this. Couple more months to go

I'ma post pics of this laundry tower I'm building for my wash room.

Gonna build a plyo box next for my home workouts

This all you @Inori or you contracting out?

Either way, looking good brother. Coming along nicely

Preciate it bruh! Im doing mostly demolition shit myself. Im no mason or tiler so I contracted someone to do it right. I been taking notes tho. Next up is taking down the old cabinetry in the kitchen, some light plumbing a lil plastering and painting, thats simple enough for me to do myself lol

Has anyone gut and replaced their kitchen w/o experience (IE just YouTube) ? If so I have the following Questions.
1) how long did you think it would take and how long did it actually take?
1a) how many people helped?
2) did you design it yourself or did you get that done, then just bought or ordered the cabinets sizes, trimwork and spacer they told you?
3) how much do you think you saved?
4) any good videos, are websites you would recommend for someone else trying for the first time?

I recently did this. did the demo myself with my pops. Took out all the old cabinetry and the sinks ourselves. got someone to help with the design of the new one. in retrospect that probably wasn't necessary cuz it wasn't far off from what I had originally. The cost went towards the new stuff anyway. Got someone to do the installation as well. Im happy with how it came out.

I sold what I could from the original cabinetry and put that towards the new joints.
