Right but this was not a dip by chance and natural market conditions, it was directed, see the difference?
Agreed. But regardless, most of the actual losers of money thus far has not been the average Joe it's the big guys.
Only ppl I really feel for (as far as markets) are those set to retire.
I understand that. My point is regardless of how the crash happened the outcome would be the same.Right but this was not a dip by chance and natural market conditions, it was directed, see the difference?
Thats a completely diff convo than the specific premise of the post that was posted a few pages back by LVSure, losses in the market aren't the big hit to the average Joe. The inflation in the prices of goods that will result from these tariffs are will hurt everyday people. A bounce back in the market won't heal the pain caused by that.
Not if the people with cash on hand also get tipped off about the strategy behind this whole thing. You don’t think Trump’s buddies know the exact date he rolls the tariffs back? Which impacts “risk” tolerance?I understand that. My point is regardless of how the crash happened the outcome would be the same.
Lol I don't disagree with u on trump. Hes guilty and i can agree with everything u say regarding trump to a T. Go back to the first post:Not if the people with cash on hand also get tipped off about the strategy behind this whole thing. You are more likely to go all in if you have assurance about it being short term though@Rubato the simplest way I can say it is in order for dudes post to be true the majority of folks with 401k would have to sell at or close to the bottom and buy back toward the top.
And even then it would be a self inflicted wound not a conspiracy.
That's just not happening.
And so how does this hurt the average middle class 401k holder who isn't selling for at least another decade? You are more likely to go all in if you have assurance about it being short term though
People are losing tens of thousands since the tariffs startedAnd so how does this hurt the average middle class 401k holder who isn't selling for at least another decade?
And how is it leading to a wealth transfer in any way different than any other crash/correction/pullback?
I'm talking about stocks specifically and realized losses not unrealized losses.People are losing tens of thousands since the tariffs started
