$5k a month is absurdly more than enough to raise a child, I don't care how much money you have. And it ain't like this chick is some kind of celeb herself where she has a lifestyle to maintain; she's a stripper, or at least she was from what I've read. So for her, $5k a month is far more than enough to raise this child that he wants nothing to do with.

I also think that last part is lost on y'all: He's detached himself from the child, and he's covering all of the kid's needs and wants for the next 18 years with plenty of money to spare for the kid to go to college and be very comfortable while in the dorms until graduation. That child should want for nothing growing up if the mother is taking care of her own business.

Food still costs the same. Unless you're an idiot and hell bent on splurging for designer fits for your kids, clothes still cost the same. Shoes cost the same. Everything costs the same because there's no rule or law that states that because you make X amount of dollars a year that you have to buy more and more expensive things. That's complete lunacy.

I've had the opportunity to get to know a number of millionaires over the years. Some from my old community in AZ, some were colleagues, some were clients (one of which I still work with). Most of them had regular cars, regular cribs (relative to where I was living at the time), wore regular clothes, ate regular food. And that was the key with them: You don't keep money by spending it all the time on dumb shit. Though one cat in AZ did have a Diablo and chilled in a 4000 sq/ft crib on the neighborhood golf course, but he was retired with old money and was having fun with life at that point. Even still, he would complain about grocery prices like everyone else when I'd run into him at Safeway.

The point being, prices for goods and services don't magically increase because you make a lot of money. If you're spending more it's because you want to, not because you have to.

While I've never seen a situation like this, here, the support judgements are good for 3 years. Someone can petition for a recalculation but it's still not guaranteed it will be honored
