having half brother/sister as opposed to having a blood brother/sister

thank god me & my younger sister had the same married mother & father .... i hear horror stories about people fighting with half siblings....what's your horror story?

I don’t do the multiple baby-mama thing.

My pops didn’t do that either.

All my siblings had the same 2 (MARRIED) parents.

I have two half siblings. I didn't have a relationship with them growing up since they're 10 and 8 years older than me. As adults we're close

My brother has a different father from me and my sisters and never called him my half brother. That's my blood brother. To take it a step further, my niece's sisters have a different father from my niece, and I call them my nieces too.

With us black people, we don't do the halves

Got a half brother and half sister through my mom. We lived together very sparingly when I was little. Moved in with my grandmother on my father’s side and we haven’t had a relationship since. Didn’t really have one with that whole side of my family long after that.

Bruh this half siblings shit is bullshit. Your sibling is your sibling. The relationship being trash does not matter if they are half or not. Yall just be saying shit

From a biological perspective, it ain't bullshit.

I have 5 siblings I'm blood related to that I know of (You know... Pops, the 70's... some shit might have/prolly happened...). Y'all know I'm part Native; well, two of my siblings have a different father and, thus, are not part native unless we can find it on my moms side... And so far that ain't happened yet and we got the family tree on her side going into the early 1800's. So, my two youngest siblings, which my pops had with my stepmoms, also carry that Native bloodline and are tribal members just like me and my oldest sister.

Now... Does that make a difference to us? Nope. As far as we're concerned we're all siblings, and that extends to our step-siblings as well 'cause we grew up together. But we are fully aware of the biological differences between us all. We just ignore it 'cause we're all family.

Bruh there was no reason to write that paragraph obviously is gonna be differences because of different parents. It’s just socially it don’t really matter.

I got a half brother and a half sister. My relationship now with my half sister is about the same as my relationship with my full brother. It was a little different when we were younger because my half sister didn't live with us. My half brother is a whole other story.

I don't think many people plans on making patchwork families. When it happens, you just have to roll with it.

All my siblings are half. I lived w one, but we've never really been close like that. The others I kinda forget about when I'm asked. My sister saw me in public a couple of years ago asking if I remembered her. I didn't recognize her until she said

I'm my mother's only child.

My dad has 4 kids, so I have two half sisters and a half brother

Eric-55 we get along fine. He lives in SC saw him last summer at Disney. Military dude. I met his wife like twice..I don't think I've ever met his kids.. But we're cool

Morey-50 we're prolly the closest two now. I see her once a week, she helps my daughter dancing. The whole reason we went to Disney

Noni - 47 we stay beefing. We used to be the closest, but she's way too argumentative and an habitual line crosser. She's in NC now, but she's effectively ruined her relationship with all of if 3, and her kids.. She is just to difficult to maintain a relationship with. She is always fighting and never sees how she's the difficult one.

None of us had a great relationship with our father. I think Morey was the closest to him. Even though Eric tolerated the most being the oldest. But yeah outside of fighting with noni, none of us really fight with each other. We're cool

I think it's relevant. We didn't grow up together. And I didn't start hanging around them until I was an adult

Out of all the thousands maybe millions of women on child support she called herself letting her baby daddy off the hook and he signed over full custody to her.. who does that?

being a single mother became draining so she kept tapping our dad for help

They got into a big falling out over money he didn't owe her, she went ape shit on vacation in Jamaica, threw my name in it, on some you like him better tip. Threw me under the bus for the hell of it and said a lot of shit I didn't know she felt. Mind you, this woman is mad years older than me

So I told her to eat a dick and consider me dead.. in turn, she turned our nephew against me who had got drafted to the Chicago Bears that year and is still in the NFL today. She looked at him as her new Golden Goose and I guess called herself cutting me out. So the next time i text this 6'4 fuckboy he start acting funny. Text him about two or three more times and was like I'm going to give you one more chance to be a man before I air you out, cuz we shouldn't have no issues between what me and my sister going through. He grew up fatherless mind you

He continued his bitch role so I told him some harsh truths about upbringing and clowned for marrying some butterface Mexican white bitch who is using him Exactly like the Travis Hunter situation. Called him a coon and all that

This was the year he got drafted I think 2015 so I haven't been able to celebrate his career or anything. I was planning on going to every game when he came to the Bay Area

I haven't spoken to either of them since. I believe he cut her off too, cuz when I go in I go all the way in with the facts

Anyyway, our brother tries to be the mediator to no avail

There's actually a lot more to the story, but yeah my half sister crashed out and ruined our family over money she was not owed or entitled to
