The Breakfast Club Thread

I don't listen to the show on the regular, but I guess I'm one of the few that liked Jess, haha. She always seemed, to me, like she gave her honest opinion instead of saying the most PC/acceptable answer. Probably comes from her being a comedian.

But I'm sure there's plenty of shit i missed. I mostly just watch random clips that seem interesting

We'll see
But her bringing up Angela Yee knowing it was REAL tension and beef....not sure this is the way....

what happened here? i always assumed she was just an unnecessary appendage that kinda naturally faded away from the show... even anticipated such lol

*sighs*

There’s an unspoken rule for women in corporate America, try to work your job for at-least 6 months before you start popping out kids. No matter the laws enacted to protect you during maternity leave, HR doesn’t care; all they see is a new hire requesting extended time off.

Jess overplayed her friendship with Charlemagne. She thought he would always make room for her but TBC is his employer just like hers. C and E are on air about 80% of the year, even with all their side gigs and other obligations. Like the 2nd week on the job, Jess self sabotaged by intentionally getting pregnant and scheduling out of town comedy performances during the work week.

Loren did exactly what she was suppose to do, took an opportunity and ran with it. Not because she’s the best either, but because she understands professionalism will take you further than talent.

It's weird right. If you get a job, then go on extended leave for anything like four months in, that job is going to have to find someone to fill in for you. What happens if they believe the person filling in is doing the job better.

That's really a lesson for anyone. When you're in a competitive field, you have to make yourself seem indispensable or you're going to be in trouble. When you go away for a while, people should be like "I can't wait til he/she gets back." If you come back and shit went smoothly without you, you're in trouble.

Yeah it's a weird balance to find. In my position now if I have to take an extended leave on the 1 hand I want things set up so it shows I've got my office able to handle certain things because I've shown them so it aint too many fuck ups...on the other hand you don't want it going too well because then it seems like somebody could replace you

The best situation for you is that when you leave, you responsibilities get divvied up between multiple people. That means the work gets done, but no one person can claim that they did it. If one person fills in for you, you're always in danger of being replaced.

I know I've seen instances where a person left for a month, and somebody managed to do that person's work on top of their own work. When that person came back, people were looking at him like "You don't really do much, huh?" That's not a position you want to be in when you go on leave.

This is why I love where I work. Even the men get 4 months of paid maternity leave. And when they leave they basically put someone else in their position and guarantee when they come back they’ll be placed in a new position.

One dude went on paternity leave and came back to a promotion.

I'm late.... They do some good interviews

Lol, y'all think this nigga was lying about anything??

He's way funnier than i knew. Bro said he could have shot Diddy and saved the world a lotta trouble.

Also they took credit for being one of the platforms that started the beef

Laila Ali was never really that good a boxer either, so after being inactive for 15 years and nearly 50yr the gap would be huuuuuge, potentially dangerous... Its stupid to even talk about it...

IMO both women know it will never happen and its just keeping their names in the media...

Gonna be like watching that Tyson vs Paul shit.. just no.. might seem like a great idea but noo don’t entertain that bs lol if anything should be her vs Remy but Remy gets a lets say a airsoft gun and Claressa gets them hands.
