I'm very interested to see what Miami does this summer and the overall direction of the franchise now that they've moved on from the Jimmy era

I feel like they've flirting very close with basketball purgatory but it's Miam and they're never down bad for long so I want to see what the offseason looks like

Is it just ride it out until the next star becomes available? Obviously too talented to bottom out but just building around Bam and Tyler as your best players isn't going to get you very far either

Very weird space to be in imo because on one hand I think if Bam and Herro are your 2 and 3rd best players(in whatever order you put them) and you have a true number 1 option than you're in a good situation....but on the other hand I would be very tempted to blow it up and trade both of them if the alternative is just running this team back next season
I just saw this

Question

Would you bring Duncan back

Also would you give Tyler an extension?

Personally I’m trying to flip Wiggins, Jaquez, and a pick and maybe another player for a wing and at this point it only might be for Durant because nobody else comes to mind

Edit: hmm 🤔 maybe see about Trey Murphy or Zion

Or call the raptors

If I can bring Duncan Robinson back on a team friendly deal I'd probably do that

I'm definitely not giving Herro a max extension

Zion makes a lot of sense if yall could finesse that situation....everyone would love to have Trey Murphy but I don't see New Orleans moving him

Miami really is one of the most fascinating situations in the league to me just because yall can go in a lot of different directions

I only want Duncan back if he costs around 12-14 mil

I’m afraid Herro has the leverage in the sense you just went through the same with butler and Herro held it down all year AND became an allstar

I feel like you have to lol

Yeah Zion makes more sense than Trey but the only thing that entices me about the raptors is letting them get Wiggins to put next to RJ so you can have more Canadians

But that means we get Brandon Ingram and that’s a downgrade defensively

BUT then again why take on Ingram’s money?

Interesting place to be in, some tough decisions have to be made

I understand why yall might feel like they have to do it but I would absolutely advise against paying Herro that kind of money.....that's the type of deal that cripples franchises

If Riley/Spo wanted BI he would've been on the Heat a long time ago lol

Lol nah they actually did want Ingram atleast 2 seasons ago

HOW much they wanted him I guess is the debate

But that’s why I kinda brought him up because I know they been interested in the past

He’s a scary player to add to your team though

I feel you on Tyler though

I’d move him for Lauri

If you were to take Ingram and put him on this current iteration of the Heat I actually think it's a good fit which is few and far between for him

You can cobble together the matching salaries along with Wiggins fairly easily

I'm not mad at that....I think that team still has a ceiling but yall could definitely be top imo

BI the same age but makes way less and is on a shorter deal than Lauri

Lauri >>> Ingram to me as far as fit and just overall

Also I don’t think BI enhances this team much more than Wiggins would

This nigga thinks we're going to take Miami garbage so we can have another Canadian on the floor? Fucking idiot.

I agree, Lauri>>>>BI....but I feel like the price would be much higher for him also

Feels like yall might need to make a hard decision one way or the other....I would not be interested in running it back with a slight modified version of this team next year if I was a Heat fan

For once I don’t think Miami wants to do that either

Lauri worth the price difference but ultimately Zion is probably the better option between everyone

Even if you acquire Zion and its a complete disaster I could live with that as a fan

You took a swing and traded for a guy that has shown he can be a top 10 player in this league and that's what it takes to win....you can justify that imo

I'd much rather prefer that route instead overpaying guys that can maybe win you a round or 2 and trying to convince myself we have a chance

I’m 85% sure Zion never has a health issue again after leaving New Orleans lol

But his age is important here
