Yall Into Emulation/Rom Hacks/Mods? The Thread

I bought my son a Retroid Pocket 2 handheld a few years ago. I dumped a shitload of roms on the sd card so he'll be busy with it for years to come.

Me and the kids were using PCSX2 to play PS2 games on my old desktop. I thought I transferred them to this one but I checked and I guess not. Used to do battle on DreamMix TV World Fighters all the time.

I have Dolphin for GameCube emulation, NullDC for Dreamcast, ePSXe for PSX emulation, and 1964 for N64 games.

... speaking of... I gotta add a Game Cube to my collection too.

I got the PS3 emulator on my shit but I think I need a new processor. It doesn't handle old sports titles well at all

Been trying to play an updated CH2k8 with new rosters, jerseys, courts, coaches, etc...

I hear its easy to do my homeboy modded his i believe but i aint do it cus id be the one to fuck my shit up.

+ I got that steam deck and that is what its for its a pc/emulation machine.

I did mod my wii u and give it to my nephew last year tho. Put a homebrew on it with all nintendo and sega games

he got a discord with other sellers in his shit too thats selling other modded devices. shit is like a network. He even letting niggas buy in bulk from him to sell and make money (I aint do THAT shit but his movement crazy)

Its a few other sellers in there selling modded ps3s for like $50 bucks more than he doing the ps2s for too and i was thinking bout copping one of those cus I been waiting for his ass to get to me since before thanksgiving about a ps2

PCSX2 is what I use too. I wanna add ePSXe cuz there’s a lot of obscure games from back in the day that you just can’t find through normal means. I was hoping Nintendo would have dropped a N64 classic already so I can jailbreak that shit too. They’d make a killing off that GameCube too.

That or you do find it and it's expensive as shit. Square made this shooter called Einhander, damned good side scrolling shooter, very highly rated, hard as fuck to find. It was even hard to find when it was new. Some months ago I spotted a copy in a used game shop a few towns over and they wanted something like $200 for it. The disc was flawless and all, but I'll be damned if I pay that much for a game.

So... About 20 minutes after I got home I had the iso downloaded and running under ePSXe.

This one of the games I was thinking about. I had a demo disc from PSM magazine when I was a kid and Einhander was one of the games. I never could find it for shit in the stores back then and even now like you said that shit is hundreds of dollars. OG PlayStation got so many great games just lost in time bruh lol.
 
Y'all, I stumbled across this 2025 mod for NCAA 2006 for the PS2 which many will argue is one of, if not the best versions of the college fb game from EA

They got new jerseys, fields, upscaled textures, updated rosters, coaches, improved recruiting logic, etc...

I forgot how great the mechanics were in this game. Crazy that for how good the game is, they didn't have gang tackling. Throwing a receiver open is so rewarding.

The mod runs practically flawless. Took a while to get it so setup but that's user error on my part
