im curious what the cause of the mess is. Did they switch up writers? Switch up directors? A mix of both or is it the overall vision thats lacking.

I dont know if id attribute it to the overall vision.. even back then the standalone joints were good as just standalones..

Some of the blame falls on Disney cause they wanted more projects at a pace that Marvel clearly were not able to handle. Feige was responsible for everything. TV is handled by Winderbaum now. Some of it falls on Feige cause at the end of the day he's the top dawg over there.

They need to hire better writers and not be scared of failing. Give your directors free reign so every movie doesn't come off formulaic. You're not gonna bat 1.000 but I can handle that as long as you're not playing it safe

I think Gunn is gonna realize how difficult Feige's job has been lol. 2 years since his rollout of his Gods and Monsters saga and all we've gotten is Creature Commandos (which I enjoyed)

I think Fantastic 4 will be the real test. I don't think anyone thought Brave New World would tear up the Box Office.

I think Mackie being the lead hurt Brave New World. Dude just isn’t blockbuster lead material. If it had been Chris Evans or a better black lead it would have done numbers.
