The concept works especially during the rising stars game but the execution was trash and could of been avoided
 
Maybe niggas need to stop trying to fix the All Star game. I’ve yet to hear anybody who claims that it needs to be fixed explain exactly what they are trying to get back to?

There was nothing wrong with East vs West. Nigga like Stephen A Smith just loudly starts bitching about effort and fans feeling entitled as fuck started bitching about how much money players make.

Maybe stop listening to people who bitch and complain for a living.
 
I’ve always liked it east vs west. I started tuning out when it became Team LeBron vs Team Whoever the fuck every year. Like I said earlier NBC ain’t gonna wanna entertain this. They’re gonna want a traditional game.

Nah that shit got ridiculous. No competition, lack of enthusiasm, 1,000 missed threes, dozens of missed alley’s, etc. etc. This might not have been the ideal setup but they are closer than they were before. The youngin’s and OG’s had something to prove in that game. The international vs. US should have been more competitive but I guess they didn’t take pride in either side.

Somehow the NBA has to make it so each team has something to prove and doesn’t want to lose.

I rewatched the 2001 ASG yesterday because that one was one of my favorites. Anthony Mason and Antonio Davis started for the East in that game. Chris Webber, Tim Duncan, KG, Antonio Mcdyess, Vlade Divac, Mutumbo, and Rasheed Wallace were the other bigs in that game. None of those guys are 3 point shooters. That’s not how the game was being played then.

There were a lot of missed alley oops in that game. The West had a 20 point lead in that game and the East came back which is why it was exciting. Vince Carter and Jason Kidd were both in that ASG. They were starters. They are both top 10 all time in 3 pointers made. Neither Vince Carter or Jason Kidd were good 3 point shooters in 2001. That wasn’t their game.

The game has evolved. We can’t expect that ASG to not evolve long with the game can we?
