My point is maybe the SB crowd as a whole just not going dumb over the halftime performance show regardless of who's thereHe was at the game and he was talking about the crowd noise. How's that any different than @AP3.0 post saying how the crowd was at the super bowl he went to? But whatever you find hilarious...enjoy.
I'm not going to disagree that Drake is widely recognized, but I want to explore why this is the case. Drake is a talented entertainer—his ability to sing, dance, and cry while making pop music is undeniable. He deliberately crafts songs that are safe and broadly appealing, which makes him more of an entertainer than an artist. I don't connect with Drake music but if I'm drunk in a club I will spit a couple bars an maybe even dance. Drake makes the club anthems.whites know Drake because he's the bigger act.

You can't fake the amount of views his performance generated and call it wack
Everyone was anticipating him doing NLU and people are being wack to say his performance was all about Drake when it wasn't
One song don't make the whole performance about Drake.. Even if you add the first part of Euphoria.
Like come on. THINK

Brother, that flag with the kids and the "a" chain has been the official logo of pg Lang since it launched. The Drake stuff was kinda heavy for some shit from spring 2024. Lower case a chain, running around with the flags of kids and the letter a, 2 diss tracks. It's over and it's been over... it's OK to move on a bit.
But I'm not knocking him as an artist. I think he put on a good show for a Kendrick concert. It was just underwhelming to me as a SB halftime show.
Like if Andre 3000 is performing. Mixing in some flute songs is probably cool for fans at his shows. And being able to play instruments and different types of music is cool. But I don't think mixing in multiple flute songs would make for a good halftime show. That's how I look at this.

It has literally nothing to do with Drake. I can appreciate a mastermind and his efforts but there is no level of mastermind happenings that would make me believe that Kendrick and his camp thought of that with a Drake diss tour in mind.
I messed around with logo design for a hot sec and coming up with a concept and an actual image to be the logo of the concept ain't easy and that's even for people that actually went to school for the shit and the people that are self taught.
I'ma be honest but I think most of the reactions about the performance are performative. If you want to be entertained, go to the person's concert when it comes to a city near you. The price of game tickets have nothing to do with who's performing.
The halftime show is something to fill the dead space in between halves. The SB and bayou classic are the only two football events I can think of that you really not trying to go to the concession stand at halftime.Fair enough. I don't even know what pg lang is.
That bomani Jones video stringer posted was pretty spot on. It just didn't hit like a super bowl performance. It was underwhelming from that aspect. A lot of people that like it even seem to think that...they're just cool with it for some reason. Some of the videos I see with people talking about it sound like people scared to just say he missed the mark. They'll say he didn't put on a good show, but they won't just say it. Like "Ya, usually artist come out and put on this big amazing show everyone will love. But Kendrick decided not to do that, and to do what he wanted instead and that's dope". That ain't dope, haha.
Like if you're at a wedding and the DJ's just playing fuckin Lupe the whole time. It's not "Yo, most DJ's would have played something for people to dance and have a good time. But this DJ played music that was true to himself, and that's dope". No! It's a wedding...DJ accordingly.
What's this mean? "If you want to be entertained, go to the person's concert when it comes to a city near you."
BrotherNot you @AP3.0 . Not you too...
