Israel Prime Minister Says Country Is "At War" (W/ Palestine)

Harris didn't say anything about moving the Palestinians away permanently and having the U.S. move in and develop the area. Harris didn't say anything about giving the West Bank to Israel. Harris didn't say that she believed that Israel should "finish the job" as in wipe out the Palestinians. Trump has done or said all of that. Again, Biden was trash on this topic, but Trump is worse.

At the end, Biden pushed for a permanent ceasefire. Harris would have stood on that if she was a slave to Biden's policy as you're saying. Trump supports Israel breaking the ceasefire deal.

Biden never wanted a ceasefire, we know that as a fact now by listening to all the parties involved in the negotiations.

And Harris didnt need a Ceasefire, just an arms embargo. They cant war without weapons. But she couldnt even say that because she was scared or didn't think this was going to be an issue for her. How the hell do you allow Trump to look like the peace candidate.

I go by what they say not what I assume they would do

and Lastly this dumb shit

Lol Biden said Hamas must be eliminated. That's the same as "finish the job". Are u conflating Palestinians with Hamas?

"Hamas must be eliminated" led to tens of thousands dead, most of them innocent women and children. Over half of Gaza severely damaged/outright destroyed.

UN said 90% of Gazans were displaced, sometimes multiple times, within Gaza in tent camps with no electricity or running water, diseases spreading.

40 million tons of debris and rubble that could fill Central park 25 feet high. They're saying it can take 15 years to rebuild.

Those numbers happened under Biden's watch. More than half of Gazans have no home to come back to and the ones that do lack basic infrastructure for water and sanitation.

That's how his "push for permanent ceasefire" was going. This is what it looked like before Trump got into office.

If a Muslim/Arab voter can be clowned for being uncommitted/voting 'other' over a genocide their preferred party won't demonstrate an ability/willingness to resolve beyond empty lip service it goes to show people will rationalize the most fucked up shit just to say they voted for the "lesser evil"

Congrats

You believe biden would allow a right to return when he was lying about what was happening in Israel for 15 months? Sure man, whatever Netanyahu wanted to do was what Biden was going to allow.

You did not follow the war as closely as you think. Biden and Blinken were 100% against transferring the population out of Gaza. Don't take my word for it, look at Israel's actions. They completely dropped talk about population transfer in Nov/Dec 2023 after Biden and co made it clear that they were not gonna stand for it. And when they decided to clear out Northern Gaza in Oct 2024, they kept lying about it because they knew that the US disapproved.

How? The damn quote up there is from the campaign saying they wouldn't break from Bidens Israel policy, Do I need to pull up the CNN interview? The interview with the national association of black journalist?

We can only go by what she says, not what you "think" she would do. She said she wouldn't change anything from what Biden was doing with Israel and thats what we will go on.

No American Politician who takes Money from AIPAC or The Democratic Majority for Israel cares about Palestinians. There are a handful who dont take lobbying money from either of those 2.

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Her position was more nuanced than what you're saying. So, for example, she was against an arms embargo, but in favor of conditioning arms sales.

No one who has been closely following this conflict can really think that Trump is not much worse than how Harris would have been.

Biden was terrible when it comes to Israel. Trump is worse. Is this a debate? Biden didn't really lift a finger to help the Palestinians. Trump wants to use American resources to actively help Israel with it's bullshit. No matter how much you disagree with Biden, there should be no argument that Harris would have been better for the Palestinians. Israel understood that. That's why the Israeli lobby backed Trump.

Remember arguing with you about this. Glad to see that you've come around.

None of this changes the fact that Kamala was better on the issue that Trump is. I'm not 100% sure what point you're trying to argue.

Hamas =/= Palestinians

Trum and the Israelis are acting like they are one in the same. Biden and Harris never claimed that. Again, no one is arguing that the shit wasn't bad under Biden. He was horrible on this issue. However, at the very least, there was a chance it would get better under Harris. Trump is committed to making it worse.

Remember arguing with you about this. Glad to see that you've come around.

I feel the same way I always have. Biden was trash and deserved to be ousted over this issue. Harris was a fool not to separate herself on this issue, but she was basically put in a position where she couldn't without undermining the administration of which she was a part. I don't think Harris would have been good for the Palestinians and I understand why Arabs/Muslims didn't want to vote for her. That said, Trump is worse. Having to pick the lesser of two evils suck, but if that's the only real choice you have, it's the one you should make.

How did this become another Biden vs trump thread?

This is disgusting guys. Real sick work.

Welcome to America. Our country is fucked.

The choice was someone who stood by and watched a genocide while VP and MIGHT have done something to stop it if she became president vs a guy is all in on the genocide/ethnic cleansing and wants to try and make a profit off it.

It's a shitty choice, but if this is and issue that mattered to you, the choice still should have been clear.

I wonder if a president could win if he said we should no longer support Israel.

It's possible, I think, but it is not gonna be easy. Which is why I argued that you had to really parse Harris's words carefully because she realized that if she came out and clearly said certain things, the Israeli lobby was gonna turn on her big time.

Anyway, the evidence suggests that a lot of Biden '20 voters stayed home in 2024 because of Gaza, and we should hammer home that point because you know Zionists are gonna try to muddy the waters and make it seem like Kamala lost for other reasons.
