What Killed Dancing In The Club?

I think the whole lack of songs to dance with a chick killed it.

I can say down here, the clubs/parties down here still go hard because we have our own so call music. Your Lil Baby's, and all that other ATL gets no run down here for the most part, maybe early on but after that, DJ doesn't leave out of Louisiana, from bounce music to jigg music, you not gettin off the flo...but I think the kind of music that's being made..

VIPs section been around if I can recall..

When he came on the scene and folks started putting him as the GOAT, they started to act like that motherfucker...smh. Yea I said it.

Also, Also, your 9-5 or shift working ass niggas 22-29 age range, that work at your local banks, or store stocker, started to act like they were Nino Brown, buying sections and acting too cool to dance with the chicks, they wanna post up like they making a milly a month, motherfucker you got work in the morning...

I can't lie, I was part of a few these niggas sessions until I realized one night, I aint dance wit an "on" not 1 chick, I been acting like I was that guy in the section....Never did that lame shit again in my life.
 
1 time, in school, linked up with that boy @AP3.0 and his crew, a few of the dudes in his crew I knew, the other niggas, didn't know. About 18 of us pull up to the spot, they got a section, I wanna say 2, I can't remember, but it's 23 niggas in a section and I'm like man where the hoes at, i hate standing around a bunch of new niggas, so AP tells me man it's ole dude b-day, (I aint know nor care) he tells me let's move around, we move around the club, dance on a few chicks, lie and tell them we got a section, come check us out, and then we go back to the section, and now it's 41 niggas in the section toasting or some shit, I look at this nigga like "aye breh, what the fuck is this he-man club shit man' where the bitches at,, so he laughs and like man idk, we end up dancing with some chicks on the flo...

I'm just not a dancer. Never was. It's definitely my achilles heel when it comes to women. I say that to say that maybe there's just too many geek/nerd/homebody types that make up the dating pool.

I'm not gonna lie, 02 through maybe 2010 or even 2012...definitely not my space. Every week there was a new dance and rap pretty much went full pop. I grew up around too many "real" ones that I could never let myself get that excited about learning dance moves.

Even people that can't afford to be lit will do everything they can to be around niggas they perceive as lit. Let's say 30 people to those 10 give or take puts us at 300 people standing there.

For example I've had mfs put 500 a pop in my hands to be in the same club as tory lanez and the nigga wasn't even there lol. Dummies.
 
Also, you gotta find the right crowd.... popular clubs are just ridiculous
. Find you a neighborhood restaurant or lounge with a DJ. Some shit where $50 gets you a whole good night... Not just the cover...

As far as dudes, drug abuse. Niggas be high off any and everything in the club. Liquor and weed always equals fun. Percs, Xanax, lean, etc. got niggas stuck in one place.

For women, social media and money/booze from stuck niggas.
 
Also the Djs don't know how to play songs that will allow folks to dance..
Some of the blame can go to the DJs.

If you can't have a crowd on the dance floor for 10 straight songs, you ain't no DJ to me.

Camera phones and folks being more willing to record and post the fact that they were at an event or club for clout instead of enjoying the vibe and just letting go.

Older folks still dance at clubs tho.
