What is this video supposed to show exactly? I'm not sure what point the creator was trying to make.
I mean Trump doesn’t sound wrong here, I think that’s the point. Is it safe to go back to those neighborhoods right now? I don’t know, but if people want to then that’s on them. He’s highlighting the problem with bureaucratic red tape during a disaster.

Yeah, he seems to have a point and she's agreeing with him that the people can do something. However, I'd imagine that the debris is substantial enough that it's not really possible for regular people to just clear everything out. Am I wrong about that?

That’s probably true in some situations, but everything is burned to the ground so I wouldn’t imagine many places even have much debris. The safety may come into play with smoldering embers under any wreckage and now with rain coming in possible landslides.

Even if there was a lot of debris the people could hire contractors personally who could do it.

Either way, Bass didn’t help herself by not articulating why they’ve prevented people from going back in.

I guess that's the problem when you're dealing with people that have a lot of money. Poor to middle class people ain't trying to hire their own contractors to do something the government is saying it can do it for them.
