If we going by cultural impact it's doing great (not just Kendric). If we're going by talent it's going great. So yeah the actual music is doing good and it's not dead or will be dead in a couple years like some people keep saying.

Agree to disagree. I don't know about being dead, but I didn't see where there's a ton of good HipHop coming out nowadays. The fact that the beef is still the most interesting thing to happen in the genre months after it's been over speaks volumes.

It's a beef between the genres 2 biggest stars. Of course that's not something that just goes away. Especially in a genre known for constantly revisiting and talking about beefs as has always been. And you just said it...you don't know about it being dead which it's clearly not. There's plenty great rap music out there easy as hell to find.

Like I said, agree to disagree on there being plenty of great rap music out there. I'm sure there's some decent rap out there if you look. Compared to eras where rap was actually good, today's supply is light.
