So Veiga is an interesting signing. He played LB at Augsburg and DM at Basel. Maresca likes to invert one of his fullbacks, so the thinking might be Veiga is cheap cover for that spot instead of spending big on Calafiori.

Long term, he is definitely a midfielder.

I like what I have seen of him so far. Might already be the 2nd best long ball passer on the team behind Enzo.
