HM: Angel Heart, The Deer Hunter, Midnight Run, Goodfellas, Cop Land, Jackie Brown, Heat (the last three were from 1996-98, a late period career peak; after that you had to wait until The Irishman for another great performance, especially when he played closer to his current age).

I got to think on this one and come back. I do know Taxi Driver is one of his best roles. Maybe not one of the best films, but how he played that role was crazy.

Same with 'Cape Fear' played a great role but not his Top 3 film for me...

Though I would have 'Taxi Driver' as top 3...

Anyone else think Casino is abit overrated??? I watched it again prolly for the 3rd or 4th time couple years back and thought it was alot better when I was younger... Its still a good movie but I wouldnt have it Top5 gangster movies...

"Gangster movies" being a thing is whats overrated but I'm not here to get on my soapbox.

Haven't seen casino in a few years so I'd have to run it back to see if what you're saying is true and it doesn't hold up anymore.
