There's alot of programming or playing to some kind of algorithm through television, film, music etc so yes. Those shows in particular cater to the one of the most faithful demographics. Just like game shows or soap operas. Most people that watch those shows grew up on that content and have been locked into those types of shows before most of us (well some of yall) were even born. That was exciting television for our parents coming up.

Same way some of us are locked into x-men 97/mcu right now. That's just an algorithm/programming that caught us when we were kids.
