Someone help me understand what’s going on.

I thought they were apart of the race and then i notice they were beating them too

 
When people say they miss high school and wish they could go back I get really confused so I liked ask these questions.

Do you miss having to get up early in the morning ?

Do you miss having to ask somebody just to be able to get up and go to the bathroom?

Do you miss the hours of boring classes filled with useless information that you'll never use in the real world but you were forced to learn so you could pass tests?

Do you miss the hours of homework that wasn't even graded for accuracy but if you didn't do it you got punished?

Do you miss the football jocks thinking they ran the school because they played football even they never won a state championship or even won a game(This applies to all sports jocks btw)?

Do you miss the incompetent teachers and administrators being unable to handle any form of bullying but you dared to fight back or even say anything that could be considered a threat you'll be disciplined with the quickness? Also going on the previous question you better hope the person bullying you isn't a star athlete and/or cheerleader because you're sol.

Do you miss having to pretend to like crappy top 40 billboard music and be into celebrity gossip to be cool and "fit in"?

Is that what you miss? Is that what you want to go back to? Man even the absolute worst day of work is better than that shit. You couldn't pay me to go back.(You could actually but it would have to be a hefty amount).

I get it. Probably it’s “I wish I knew what I know now” mentality which is next to impossible since those people are like 15-20 years removed from high school. They would have made better decisions with their current brain than the one they had as a teen.

I personally would never want to go back, especially with how things are now. I’m happy that I’m turning 40 in December. I loved growing up with no social media and getting on Facebook and MySpace at 20. There are times I feel bad for people under 30 and having to navigate through life in this climate, with unrealistic expectations and being forced to pick a side on virtually everything. Hope they make good and reasonable decisions
