I used Viola Davis as an example for your "In relation to who" question. She's often compared critically to her white counterparts and spoken of just as highly if not more from a talent perspective yet she's underpaid as hell by comparison.

I get that but that’s not really a direct answer to what I’m asking

Also using a better actress who’s attached to bigger movies than TPH I feel like makes for a not so great example but that’s just me

Also you using viola Davis comparing herself to men when I’m comparing TPH to other women

I get it but I see it as if a bigger more prominent actress is having the same issue then you can imagine how much worse it is for those lower on the totem pole. And I used Viola Davis after seeing a clip of herself to other women.
 
Yall ain't her audience I guess but any movie with her on it automatically gets a large demographic of black people interested. I know for me personally if I see her name I am checking out the film or TV show.

I have watched many of her TV shows , films and her acting abilities speak for themselves.
I am so proud she spoke out and spoke her truth

She has grown so much from her beginning roles and is a great actress period.

I pray her speaking up and telling her story brings her better pay in her future roles

But it goes back to me trying to figure out TPH’s value as an actress

Like idk if she is truly underpaid

Of course she can feel that way but we wouldn’t know.. is she comparing herself to viola? Jason statham? Idk

None of work us in that industry to put a price on this. With her career tho, I'd say 500k is low. Especially considering how well her movies do.

My guess is her peers who have the same time, accolades, and prestige that she has. But another guess would be the studios and what they make in relation to what she gets

She isn't a big time star lead actress like that.
She shouldn't have to be a big time lead actress to be paid. Supporting cast exist and still get paid. Typically she 2nd or 3rd and all in the promos. So yeah, she kinda a big time star actress, minus the lead
