Tough loss. Wouldn’t mind getting a 3-6 seed matchup with Indy. That series would be a hard fought one.

Pels beat the hornets last night, and with that loss, the hornets still arent mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. tf??
 
The West is nuts this year. Solomon Hill needs to hit the floor this week. Just 10 mins. His defense is a 20 pt swing in a game. Especially against teams with scoring SF.

The Clippers are going to fall out of the race. Bradley is a big lost. Kawhi isnt going to help them immediately. But by the last two weeks of the season he will have his legs back.

Gasol is a defensive liability man. Smart teams attack him with the pick and roll when he is out there. Aldridge is our defensive anchor and it isn’t even debatable. The guy is way better on defense than many thought leaving Portland. He does a solid job guarding the rim and can move his feet against the pick and roll.

The defense has been awful during the losing stretch because ( the teams we are playing is better)Aldridge has been dealing with knee soreness, Green has been banged up and Pop is having to play short slow back court combo’s together. The team has been injured all season and this hopefully has helped R.C. & Pop see they still need better talent and a new direction as far what type of skill set a player needs to help the team going forward.

I truly think a lot of talking heads and fair weather fans are sleeping on the Rockets.

The Rockets (aside from injuries) can make a series versus the Warriors very interesting. They have way more shooters than the Warriors, they have 2 really good shot creators, they actually play solid defense and the most overlooked/underrated thing about them is that they have shown to be able to play a fast game and a half court game.

I know people say the bench isn’t that big of a thing in the playoffs because teams shorten their rotations but the Rockets have enough 3&D guys to come at the Warriors in waves and keep players fresh.

The key will come down to how D’antoni makes adjustments from quarter to quarter and game to game. I think the Rockets should try to make the game as physical (especially when dealing with Curry) and slower pace as possible. I’m very excited about this seasons playoffs

The rockets, like many teams that place with that pace will be beaten if the game is played at a much slower pace

Teams trying to just outscore them will fail

His pick and roll defense sucks but whenever hes able to hang out and protect the rim hes been good, I dont know if this is still accurate but San Antonio was allowing the fewest points at the bucket and led the league in field goal precentage in the paint

but youre right LA has been really good too
 
Lay the ball up on Houston and you can beat Houston. Make the guards chase you to the hoop and rebound the ball. That is how you kill pace. Those run out get shut down when you are taking the ball out.

I wouldnt call PnR'ing people to death versatile

if the rockets not PnR, its iso ball with Paul or harden.

Everybody else waiting to catch and shoot.
