Been a Jokic fan since he was traded by Portland to Denver and I started to notice him, but I ain't mad that Embiid won this. He had an MVP year.

Plus I agree that we don't want to give 3 consecutive MVPs to just anybody.

Embiid winning MVP seems like a bit of a surprise. All the outlets that I look at make it seem like it was a dead heat between Giannis and Joker with Embiid a little behind. When you look at the whole package, it seems like it really could have gone to any one of the three depending on how you framed your argument.

On another note, did Dillon Brooks really deserve to get fired? lol I mean I ain't mad at it. When you talk shit and then don't deliver, there usually is a penalty of some sort, but that's basically been the whole Grizzlies team for the past few years right?

I don’t blame the Grizzlies for not bringing Brooks back if he wanted a crazy expensive extension, but the media reports aren’t a good look.

Someone with their PR department should definitely speak out against or clean up what’s being reported.

The NBA intends to put more games on broadcast television and fewer on linear cable in its next media rights deal, The Athletic reported Tuesday, and the league is expected to add at least one new partner even if it renews with Disney (ESPN/ABC) and Warner Bros. Discovery (TNT). The league’s exclusive negotiating window with Disney and WBD opens March 9 of next year and lasts for 45 days, after which rights will hit the open market.

Echoing an earlier CNBC report, The Athletic said Tuesday that NBC has expressed interest in reacquiring NBA rights, which the network held from 1990-2002. NBC has even stated its intention to again use its 1990 NBA theme music, “Roundball Rock” by John Tesh.

Yea. I think they’re gonna get games. Maybe a SNF type thing following the football season and/or getting the NBATV games during the playoffs
I think they should alternate the Finals with ABC, like the NFL alternates between networks for the Super Bowl. And they can alternate the conference finals between ABC and NBC. TNT wouldn’t like this but it is what it is.

You know what’s funny? ESPN/ABC and TNT alternate the Stanley cup finals. That wouldn’t be a bad idea with abc and tnt

That would be very very good for NBC on Saturday nights, especially during election season next year. So they can do a warriors vs lakers showdown type game followed by SNL going in on trump in the opening scene. Huge ratings
