Tyre Nichols Beat To Death By Memphis Police

Not quite sure how I feel about making these dudes the face of police brutality.

There's definitely something insidious about that.

It could be a good thing because, instead of the focus being on race............it'll be more on the system and the culture of police departments across the country.

But, at the same time, it's gonna give police departments a way out by trying to dismiss race as a factor in incidents of police brutality.

I wont be able to watch the video, but from what they saying this one is super bad.

They havent been able to even fake a probable cause for pulling him over.

Shit sounds like they decided to just pull him over just to murder him.

Smmfh.

I def understand where youre coming from but its not like police departments arent already dismissing race as a factor in police brutality

That video will make it easier to do it though.

Not just within the police departments, but with the media.

Instead of the Rodney King beating being used as the prime example of police brutality, it'll eventually be the Tyre Nichols video being used like that.

Basically making black cops the face of police brutality, and.........in the process.....helping to remove race as part of the narrative.

Exactly.

No paid administrative leave or any of that bullshit, and that's the way it should be whenever something like this happens.

No hesitation to call them murderers/criminals............no hesitation to charge them.........and no hesitation to fire them.

They're not even calling them police officers anymore................just ex-police officers.

Basically letting them know that they're not even gonna be looked at as cops anymore, but as just another black man charged with a crime.

Those........"brothers"...........are about to be in for a rude awakening and realize where they truly stand in the pecking order.

That "thin blue line" isn't gonna protect them at all.

Maybe…just maybe the video is so fuckin bad that it’s unlike other situations. Maybe no investigation was really needed. Maybe it’s not a case where “paid administrative leave” can even be considered.

We haven’t seen the footage. Others have.

I can see another way they're gonna try to spin this too.

Basically, hyping it up to be one of the worst police brutality cases in history.

And then checking to see how black people react to it.

Meaning, if it's worse than what happened to George Floyd...............and people aren't protesting in the streets like they did back then...........the Fox News crowd is gonna start to question why we aren't keeping the same energy.

Pretty much making this another version of the................"what about black-on -black crime".............narrative.

All true, but it's hard to believe that their race also wasn't a factor in this as well.

The George Floyd video was horrible.

Other videos where white cops have shot and killed black people at routine traffic stops are just as bad.

Yet, those cases didn't gain traction until enough people started talking about it.

So yeah, the video might not have left any room for leniency...........but the race of the cops didn't either.

Both things can be true.

let’s see the footage and then talk about whether or not it’s different from the other situations.
