Anybody ever experience something like this when living or visiting another region of the country?

I think we southerners are t he biggest culprits. After pretty spending significant time in nearly every region of the country, I've learned that everyone has their own way of speaking, but I think the southeast is the only place in the country where people from the outside can go and not really understand what people are saying.

Like early in our relationship, my wife told me it was fascinating to hear me talk to people from back home because she couldn't always understand what I was saying and it was weird to her because when we talked, other than a hint of accent here and there, there was never any problem.
People say that about Charleston because the way Charleston people speak is Gullah Geechee, which if you aren’t familiar with it, sound like southern thwang, mixed with Jamaican. Which I didn’t hear at all when I lived down here.

I spent one summer in Jersey with family and immediately noticed that they sounded white. I asked my cousin why she sound so white, she said she didn’t sound white, northerners just annunciate when they speak and I stereotyped people that did that as sounding white.

Low and behold when I got back, the girl I was talking to before I left. I’m on the phone wit her and she says “ewww, why you sound so white?”. And I also noticed that I could now hear the accent, and that shit turned me off so much. To this day the Charleston accent is an immediate turn off for me.

Lol My wife says that black people down South think that everyone who's not from the South sounds white.

But yeah, Charleston speech is southern to the max.

I swear I'm not a team player at all

I thought I chose a career where I wouldn't have to work with ppl but God had different plans

I had to get one recently too. It wasn't even an age thing. My iron was slightly low at my check up, so my doctor ordered it.

The prep was annoying though. A day and a half without food plus drinking a gallon of some nasty shit. When I say it cleansed me out. I remember the last time I went to the bathroom, I looked in the toilet afterwards and shit was clear like I didn't even do anything. lol I lost 3 pounds overnight.

Every 5mins bruh. Lol!

I overheard one of the nurses asking an older brotha if he had anything to eat w/n I guess 24hrs. This fool said he had NECKBONES!
