I read majority of Priest run I'd start there as he's the closest to what Civil War was trying to channel. Hudlin run is really good as well and he handled a lot of Black Panthers crossover stories. Hudlins runs are where you see a lot of the Black Panther vs Namor blood feud as well.

I agree with you with Hudlin having a good run also. I’m a Priest fan and I’ve read damn near all his black Panther run. I even have some of his stuff on Deathstroke.

I saw this on Reddit yesterday . They saying Steve freaked out because he found out t'challa had a contingency plan for all the heroes. I been through with comics both dc and marvel are f*cking up.
 
Spiderman has the worst arc/character development. They won't let him grow and they hit him with setback after setbacks. They just won't let him win. it's been 60 years let him stay married and have kids. They keep him innthis constant adolescent state.
 
I find myself when buying comics to look for certain writers before buying. Some folks are just better at crafting, respecting, and preserving the stories of these legacy characters.

Now, when reading new stuff all together, I will be more open to whoever is writing as long as the premise of the book catches my attention.

But, older characters that I grew up on and loved their mythos, I usually look for who is writing the newer stuff before picking it up

it's funny the 2 writers who have done the most damage to Black Panther in comics have been black writers. White writers have been writing him in crossovers in the sprite of Priest and Hudlin.

They should give the comic to someone who wants to really really write it like Geoffrey thorne. He wrote Panther Quest cartoon for DisneyXD.



That is how you properly write Black Panther. Johnathan Hickman also requested to do a Black Panther solo but was turned down.
