I was rooting for the Nets then the injuries happened with James Harden fucking up his hamstring and Kyrie fucking his ankle.

The Nets were unguardable when their Big 3 was healthy.

Now I look at their team and it's not the same without James Harden. They really should just went all in on defense but they added ass player outside of Ben.

KD and Kyrie can play defense in the playoffs but they aren't elite and they are old. The OG Nets could make up 2 quarters worth of points in a quarter. It was some cheat code shit since because all 3 of them demanded a double.

Ben Simmons isn't a force multiplier team defender like Draymond. He can guard the best player but, that's not really valuable in today's NBA if your team defense is trash.

They are still not athletic. They actually got less athletic, why the fuck would you add, Markeith Morris, Royce O'Neal and TJ Warren? You already got little ass Patty Mills, Joe Harris, Cam Johnson and Seth Curry. They got the slowest, most unathletic back 9 I have ever seen.

Royce O'Neal ain't even a rotation player on some real shit.

They don't have a pick and roll ball handler that needs to be defended in the half court. Without James, there's no reason to play Nic Claxton. Nic Clayton and Ben don't go to together at all. Kyrie and Durant aren't dangerous pick and roll players due to their lack of vision. You gonna have to switch on them but they aren't killing with passes. Ben Simmons doesn't run pick and roll at all, he doesn't have a place on a half court offense.

They have the same issues on defense, with being small and nonathletic, but worse on offense.

Their team is good on some 2K shit. Mayne, give me their team in 2K, I am going on 74 and 8 on HOF mode. In real life, they suck and ain't gonna do shit. Marks and them shot for the moon with the James Harden trade but they fucked up the balance of their roster and continued to double down on being slow and nonathletic, trying to make it up with scoring and it's not gonna work in the playoffs.

You not putting Seth Curry, Patty Mills, Royce O'Neal and TJ Warren in a playoff rotation and winning.

Lol in an alternate universe Lebron got spo the fuck outta there in 2010 and he never turns into one of the best coaches ever

As far as Nash…who knows????? Lol he might really bounce back and start to actually coach

I do think the Nets are overall deeper and better than last year but this is all facts lol

Anything is possible

I know Nash a shit coach but who knows

coaches improve and I don’t think has to improve that much for the nets to be good

they have:

- 3 all nba level players
- DPOY candidate
- real depth

Just stay healthy (which is the key for every team)

it’s not whether I believe it’s really whether it’s likely

it Could go wrong again and the nets wind up around the 7th seed

but I don’t think so

They are regular season deep but they ain't playoff deep.

In the deep playoffs the rotation is cut to 8.

So this is an hypothetical

PG Ben Simmons
SG Kyrie
SF Joe Harris
PF Kevin Durant
C Claxton

Bench
TJ Warren
Royce O'Neal
Seth Curry
Markeith Morris

Who on this team can guard someone besides Ben Simmons?

The Nets gotta hope Nic Claxton lock shit up on like 08 KG.

Teams can't win without athletes. Guys who can just be the best athlete on the floor. That's what made Andrew Wiggins going Unlocked Potential /SSJ Gohan critical to the win. He was the best athlete on the court every night and nobody can deal with that.

Unless Ben Simmons plays like Lebron lite, mastering the half-court offense, this team is handicapped on both phases of the game.

And I know people gonna say play Ben SImmons at center...but man ain't a center. He's a PF, playing PG because he can't do shit in the half court but dunk.
