Aint no reason to sign with a label these days outside of distro right? And a promo budget? do artists really even need labels for distro anymore? what are the benefits?

CMG is the only recent one that I can think of, but they are no where big like Rocafella and Gunit etc.

lmao even if it was a decent deal, why sign to Mase of all people? He leaves rap every 5 years or so, starts to come back, and then leaves all over again. You sign with him you might have a hot album but then you're getting told to make gospel music or else.
 
Damn, thats foul even worse he had a lawyer with him....Mase complains about puff and does the same shyt. Dude couldn't have had many offers on the table to sign with Mase...
