The Dallas Mavericks are not concerned over the New York Knicks hiring of Jalen Brunson's father Rick as an assistant coach, according to Marc Stein.
It has been known throughout the league that Tom Thibodeau wanted to hire the elder Brunson since taking over the head coach position in 2020.
Stein adds that Jalen Brunson is expected to receive a contract that meets or exceeds Fred VanVleet's four year, $85 million deal with the Raptors.

League sources say multiple teams have called the Jazz to inquire about the trade availability of Mitchell, only to be given a firm no. The Jazz have made it clear they intend on building a roster around Mitchell. The only thing that could possibly pry Mitchell from the Jazz at this point is a monstrous offer. But nearly everyone else, including star center Rudy Gobert, has some sort of availability on the trade market. League sources suggest Gobert and small forward Bojan Bogdanovic have been two names that have garnered significant interest from teams. The Jazz expect to be a team that will be aggressive on the trade market.

man nobody gonna trade for Gobert making the money he does

Just trade Mitchell and be done with it

Ahh I worded that wrong but I’ll rephrase and expound

nobody is going to choose to trade for Gobert over Mitchell when he makes that much money for what he gives and what he doesn’t give

unless your a team that’s a Gobert away from possibly being a contender but that would bank on this still being possible even after giving up the pieces you did for him

right now there’s two maybe three teams that come to mind that can do that imo

Nets (Simmons, Claxton, Harris)
Warriors (wiseman, Klay, moody)
Grizzlies (An assortment of players not named Ja)

Ainge gonna hoard Mitchell until he publicly demands a trade and obliterates his value. Same old shit smh.
