Martin was 26 and the show started when he was 27. So that's like shittin on martin for the things he did when he was a teen and in his early 20s. "Nobody was talkin about martin till the martin show" ..... and?

If we're only talking stand up, it's between chappelle and rock.

That's the thing, there's more to comedy than just stand up. That's when the movies and tv shows come into play.

The thing about chappelle, he's one of the top 2/3 at both. Which makes him the best.

Kevin Hart jumped on the scene with those movies eh. Dave been on the scene along with those other comedians that black folks were checking for.

It was his Killin 'Em Softly special that dropped in 2000 that really got his name out there as well as writing Half Baked in 98. People knew him because he'd been doing stand up since he was a teenager but writing Half Baked got him known in Hollywood and that special is what really put him on a mainstream map
