Spot on with your point about people wondering where is the Joker. Even if he’s not the main villain, you can’t just leave him out all together. There’s been very few of the animated joints where he doesn’t show up at all.

Maybe in the comic franchise, but in the movie and animated franchises, with which the causal viewer is more familiar, Joker is a big deal. And leaving him out completely isn’t the best move. Even Nolan recognized that. So much so had Ledger not died Joker would have played a role in Rises.

I’d venture to say Joker is just as important to the franchise as Batman. A lot of people even prefer Joker over Batman. Batman is basically the same every movie, but Joker can be so many different variations it can be fresh and new each time.

I'm all for seeing Hush, Firefly and all those lesser villains but to not have Batman's greatest foe I just don't see that happening.

I'll rather have Deathstroke in a movie to be honest

Where’s the incentive to include joker in a movie? Why do y’all keep acting like you can’t tell a handful of movies without the joker?

It's not like Spiderman where he doesn't have a set #1 foe so you can pull any of Spidey's bad guys and put them in a movie and people wouldn't trip but Joker is too iconic to not have them battle. Batman and Joker will forever be joined at the hip

I could understand that being the case if there hasn’t been a Joker on screen about 4x in the past 14 years (more if you include TV movies) or if the movie that didn’t feature the joker wasn’t successful

But nothing you’re saying is telling me why he NEEDS to be included

I get it people like the joker but come on man lol batman doesn’t drop anywhere just because joker isn’t around
 
If this ends up being a trilogy...best believe Joker is going to be in the either pt. II or pt.III. The casual fans...the comic book fans...the DC stans...the Hollywood elites...the studio execs ALL gonna want Joker in this version of Batman.

From a business standpoint...it makes sense. If the studio wanna maximize the success of the 1st movie...Joker is definitely needed.

Joker is needed b/c the fans wanna see it. If he's not...we all know the backlash will come from it. Regardless if they're casual or comic book. If he's not...folks gonna feel like it's a wasted opportunity.

I'd save him for a 3rd film tho. Like I said b4, the CoO is perfect for this version. Someone mentioned Hush. Thats another good one.

My biggest thing as a Batman fanatic. Where are folks getting Joker has to be in the stories, we already got like 3 of them, lets show some of the other dope villain characters we havent seen too much outside the animation.

The Joker is different in every movie though, so it’s not the same shit over and over again. The anticipation of which version we get is the draw.

When Dark Knight came out all of the discussion was around their version of the Joker.

i hear you but I don’t care dude. The anticipation of the version we get? It’s all some weak version of what Ledger did. It’s tired. They can do without joker for a decade.


here’s a spoiler for you: if he’s in a movie, he won’t ever be killed or die
