Damn......Detroit got finessed. This Blake Griffin trade sounds like a possible Jerry West move. Griffin was not taking that team anywhere, and they were at risk of becoming stuck in basketball purgatory. Griffin gets injured often and did not show much in the way of strong leadership (punching a trainer, etc) Bring back solid rotational players and some extra picks. Rivers will be fired at the end of the year and his son will be dealt for a 2nd round pick. After that, you may be able to start to rebuild the culture and will be a couple decent free agent signings or good drafts away from being back in the mix of competitive NBA ball.
