2021/22 NBA Season Thread

You just listed 3 guys who make shots on the perimeter and didn’t get nowhere near as many points dunking as Giannis does
Kirilenko shot 31% from behind the arc, marion and prince were better shooters on 2 and 1.5 attempts per game. So not perimeter players by either volume or percentage. Giannis would be fine.

I’m speaking moreso their positioning on the court and the ability to shoot threes and space the floor whereas Giannis has a lot of his points generated at the rim and shoots average and below average anywhere else on the floor for his career

This was my stance since the whole theory in question was teams 20 years ago packing the paint making it a lot harder on him while it’s a lot easier today to thrive because of downsizing and spacing

saying Giannis wouldn’t survive is a bit extreme but I agree that it would be a lot harder for him and I don’t know if he would be anywhere nearly as successful and then I referenced when I’ve seen when it works. But I appreciate your response man

for all we know you could be right

I remember being upset the Knicks got Kemba too because I figured it was a lot of firepower compared to a team like mine

crazy how things turned out

Well Atleast he can enjoy being home but shouldn’t the league do something about him sitting out while healthy?
