Just imagine if Kyrie just got the vaccine. Nets would probably be a top 3 seed in the east. Then again, Kyrie would have probably gotten hurt and miss time anyway so it is what it is. Should be an interesting end to the regular season if the mandate is lifted

hmm I see his point

Giannis wouldn’t have the spacing he needs on offense and he would run into a wall defensively every possession

And Miami has done a great job defending Giannis the past few seasons packing the paint so I know what it looks like already

I see where he’s coming from especially since Giannis isn’t skilled offensively as other forwards but rather uses his athleticism more than anything even though he’s gotten more skilled as time has went on

Giannis a hard worker so maybe he would’ve figured it out but idk if he would have been allowed a few years to figure it out back then but going based on what I’ve seen I agree with Tmac

you just trying to minimize GA greatest. GA size and his skillset with power and speed would work in any era.

Okay he beats players off the dribble then runs into a wall of defense

can’t kick it out because no open shooters due to no spacing. Not gonna stop and pull up for the jumper either

has nothing to do with minimizing greatness

Will be great on defense but offensively let’s not act like there’s flaws there that he overcomes partly due to athleticism that will get minimized with a shrunken floor and a wall of bigger defenders than he sees today

Shawn marion was getting 20 a night as a marginally better shooter than giannis. Kirilenko and Tayshaun were tall lanky guys getting 15+ with nowhere near the athleticism Giannis is bringing.

All 3 of those guys functioned as high level starters on perennial contenders. You drop the freak in a similar situation back then and he would be way past "surviving" and his team would likely be in contention every year.

You just listed 3 guys who make shots on the perimeter and didn’t get nowhere near as many points dunking as Giannis does
