2021/22 NBA Season Thread

Well I’ll say that was a MVP worthy performance from Embiid

throughly outplayed the guy who defers to khris Middleton

Brandon Ingram the past 5 games:

15.4 points, 5 rebounds, 4.6 assists

Btw I didn’t know he was shooting 33% from three this season

shot 38% and 39% on more shot attempts with Gentry and Van Gundy

I wonder if Willie green is just doing something different or if it’s Personnel that’s having Ingram shoot less threes

Leave these Caw Caw boys alone, lol.

They beat the Rockets in 2 straight games last week, so they are good in my book.

Now I want to have a brief talk about these guys here.

Firstly, The times I’ve watched Lamelo, I love what he does and he will sneakily have 18/8/6 very easily but I think the next step in his development is having the ability to score when the team needs him to make baskets and being that guy that can take and make shots. It’s what stops him from being better right now than morant, Murray, SGA, and other PGs of that build. It’s not an issue and it’s not a rush to do that since he’s only 20 but it’s really just an observation. Like I can bet my bottom dollar if the hornets are down by 4 with a min left, it’s not gonna be Lamelo scoring to get them ahead. And that’s fine Lamelo is a playmaker and a great passer. I just expected a bit more of a scorer’s mentality from the best scoring Ball brother

Now onto Terry Rozier who I think doesn’t get nearly the amount of credit he deserves for what he does. He takes and makes big shots (that could be another reason why Lamelo might not since he’s here) and he has saved the hornets a handful of times down the stretch. A lot of people laughed when he got the contract extension from the hornets but I think he deserved it for holding it down for them (especially while Hayward is always out) and just for maintaining a high level of play

He is starting to get 20+ mil a year for numbers of 19/4/4 playing next to Lamelo. That’s not even that bad when you have guys like Brogdon and hield making similar money.

Also guys like CJ Vucevic, tobias Harris, and Jrue Holiday make 30+ mil a year

Duncan Robinson could be such a better player if he just expanded his offense more. I hate his style of play and all other 3 point specialist that just shoot 3's all game.

Robinson for a career shoots 9 fga's a game. Of those 9 fga's , 8 are three pointers. He is shooting 40% from 3. So since he is basically shooting nothing but threes, and if he shoots his average percentage he basically has a 4 good games out of 10 games average. When he's hot, it's a good thing. When he's not, he's almost unplayable. I don't know why this frustrates me since he doesn't play for my squad but for some reason it does.

nah but for Duncan’s role and the way the team operates there would never be the need for Duncan do what you want him to do.

I’ve seen him play a more expanded game (in G league) I just think in Miami they mostly want him to focus on what you’ve seen for the most part. Put him somewhere else you might get a diff result but if it ain’t broke..
