Here's the problem with Tariq and his Hidden Colors shit. It seems like he takes every idea Afrocentrists and black scholars propose and throw them out there as if they are proven fact.

For example, a black scholar might show proof that Africans have been trading with and influencing the Chinese for a couple thousands of years at least. Then Hoteps will come along and be on some "See Black people are responsible for creating Chinese civilization." And then Tariq will call the shit at the Smithsonian surface level because there's no exhibit saying that the original Chinese people are black.

I've watched Hidden Colors. I ain't going to say dude is a scammer, but @Race Jones is right. He does push some ahistorical shit in his documentaries. That's not the dude that should be in charge of making a museum.

Tariq went to a basic Black art museum in California, and pointed out artwork, bleh artwork, called it history and used it as a call to action to fundraise his "Hidden History" museum.

You said the NMAAHC is surface level stuff. It's not. You stated something flat out wrong. You said it was curated by white people which is also wrong and you can easily see simply by checking their website.

Also you're ignoring other museums across the country probably most notably the Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture started by Arturo Schomberg and who gathered and put together much of the research that's now been expounded upon and included in these museums across the country.
