I mean, I don't think this is true. Rape is one of the worst crimes you can ever commit in any civil society.
People can respect thieves, robbers, killers. But you say you raped a woman, people look at you with disgust. People just didn't look for rape and sexual assault like they do now. Now we have a rape hysteria, where even telling a random good looking woman on the street that she looks good is a threat to a woman's mind and body according to some people.
Bill just was able to hide behind being some mild mannered celebrity Black man that White people loved and respected. He wasn't like the "others". He put his pants and raise his children, and blah blah blah.
White people used Bill Cosby as a way to make Black folks be the way they want us to be and covered up for him.
Let a Black male celebrity in the day like Rick James fuck around and have a string of rapes in his closet, them White folks would've hung him.
