Why is pajamas to the store bad hygiene I mean I don’t even see that shit like at all. But nobody laying back in bed with the same pajamas.

But simply wearing a bonnet or a Durag in public equates to bad hygiene now?!

Yeah...y’all tripping

Bonnets and du-rags are not worn in public for the same reasons.

If you see a woman in a bonnet it only means one or two things.

1. She is about to go get her hair done meaning it's not done at the moment

2. She was wearing it at home to protect her hair from getting messed up so the hair is already done but she's not trying to fuck it up.

Those are the only reasons women are wearing bonnets. They are not wearing bonnets to match their heels or hails. It's strictly worn for those reasons and for their hair. Not to accessorize with other clothing items. Now they do make more designer themed bonnets now more than in the past but that doesn't change the function of the bonnet.

Now with du-rags, they are not always worn with protecting hair in mind. Some niggas wear du-rags under their hats in the winter time to stay warm. Some niggas wear du-rags specifically to match their clothes or shoes. I can tell you for a fact that every nigga that's wearing a du-rag is not trying to protect his waves. The majority of du-rag wearers these days are wearing them as a fashion statement and not as a necessity like how women wear bonnets.

They will be very soon.

A point hey I too be proven

Bonnets will never be a fashion statement. That's what scarfs are for. Scarfs are more versatile and bonnets might have different designs on them but they're all shaped the same a look the same way.

Scarfs come in different shapes and sizes. Think ones and thin ones. See through and solid. Long and short. Wide and narrow. Some of them even come with pre-tied knots on them.

A bonnet is not going to change form like a scarf will. That's why bonnets will never be fashion items because scarfs already serve that purpose.

Oh and the reason why du-rags became fashion statements is because for men we do not have options such as scarfs and bows and hair ties like women do. Du-rags we really the only reasonable option for a lot of men who wanted to cover their hair and everybody couldn't even use them. If you has a lot of hair like dreads or an afro you couldn't wear a du-rag. You would have to use a scarf, big ass bandana, or big head wrap.

Women are not buying bonnets to wear when they make moves.

If her hair is done then she's not about to cover it up with a bonnet. She's gonna wear her hair out.

I'm telling you that women are not out her putting on a full face of makeup just to throw on a bonnet.

Nope....you said it shows bad hygiene...that’s MY issue...it most certainly does not show bad hygiene

And for you to come back championing and “understanding” tha wearing of Durags in public by dudes who rock them for fashion but still wanna say a woman wearing a bonnet in public shoes “bad hygiene” to me is fuckin’ crazy fam...not gonna even front lol

“A woman wearing a bonnet in public is a sign of bad hygiene!!” is exactly what I think a “Karen” would say...

Lol, bruh fashion follows trends.... This is a hot topic. It's coming

I can't believe this topic is still going, but yeah you're right.

If its getting this much discussion, it's only a matter of time before some rich fashion designer starts putting bonnets out and they suddenly become acceptable.

No they won't. Bonnets don't lay flat like scarfs do so they will not look the same on everybody's head.

Plus like I mentioned before, the disadvantage to wearing bonnets as opposed to scarfs and du-rags is bonnets cover the hair completely so you can't wear it and show off your hair like you can with a scarf or du-rag.

Anybody who's wearing a bonnet is trying to hide their hair most likely because it's not done or not looking good.

No????

He's wearing it as a fashion statement like how every nigga on that show wore du-rags. You think Bodie was wearing du-rags to protect his waves? No. The nigga didn't even tie his du-rags when he had them on most of the time.

He wore it as a fashion statement. Bonnets have never been worn as a fashion statement like du-rags, scarfs, headbands.

Bonnets are exactly like shower caps. They just make shower caps in different material like silk and put cute designs on them and viola you have a bonnet now.

What's the difference between a bonnet and a shower cap?

Niggaz so hard headed

Google your friend bruhView attachment 551987

Du............

Those bonnets being designer does not mean that they will be worn with full makeup and nice clothes.

My wife only wears silky material bonnets and she mainly wears them to sleep and in the shower so her hair doesn't get fucked up.

She also works in the hospital and she wears a bonnet every day. All of them do. Even the males. They wear bonnets for work. They are required. A lot of them have fancy looking ones. Some of them (mostly the men) wear the standard blue one that the hospital gives you. You know like the shit you see on a surgeons head.

But I guarantee you that none of these women are buying those bonnets and matching them up with outfits to go out in.
