Georgia Fathers Drown After Being Pushed in Lake

I get it man

my point to chitown is it’s a skill that could’ve potentially saved your life or gave you a better fighting chance during that situation or any situation involving water and it’s better to know how than to not know

he’s telling me it don’t matter because they woulda drowned anyways from exhaustion (what!? Lol)
Where were they gonna swim too if everyone stuck, where was the safe spot

That situation it wouldn't, where would they have swam too

Just admit this scenario you were wrong
So a 7 year old being whisked away and then being able to swim to a car to climb on top and wait for help that’s not a viable option? Lol

philly has pools but they be so crowded you can’t learn to swim.

shit I was an old ass nigga in the Y learning to swim because I almost drowned on my honeymoon.
Fuck them kids......dying with a new wife ain’t cool.

Lotta black folks didn't have access to pools growing up (esp. public pools)

when cities were bein integrated, white folks didn't want their kids swimmin w/ "niggers" at the public pool

so they'd drain the water & fill the pool w/ concrete

I kno it's 2021 & we have a lil more access but the issue is deep rooted
I think the issue is people not knowing how to even tread water doing things that involve a lot of water. Most people that cant swim have some what a fear of deep water. But some choose to do things like tubing, kayak, sail boat etc. Completely blowing off the small chance that something bad could happen.

Im not speaking of the story at hand. That was just unfortunate
