As far as rapping ability I think she can rap

Cardi B is off beat 90 percent of the time with her Tommy Pickles flow, she's a terrible rapper but has personality and a team of writers and the machine behind her so she gets a pass.

She's a TERRIBLE rapper, TERRIBLE. Megan the Stallion is also a TERRIBLE rapper.

Not even about content, you can rap about your pussy and getting fucked for money without being terrible.

Also, skills don't sell and these days with 10 writers and producers on every song, an artist can get all the help in the world in construct a good song.

Can Cardi B with her team make a good song, yes.

Can she rap? Would you wanna hear her spit a 16 bar verse with no beat? If you had to rap to save your life, would you let Cardi B write your verse. NO.

Lol I don't think Megan is very great but I don't think she's terrible. And even tho I hate the song they got together, you can listen to it and tell the difference between 'Meh' (Megan) and just straight up bad, basic rapping (Cardi).

When it comes to actual technical skill, flows, wordplay, lyricism, etc., Cardi is terrible. I'd put her on par with Weird Al or The Lonely Island. Maybe even 3oh!3. Yup.
 
If Rapsody is the ceiling........and the City Girls are the floor(cuz one of them bitches dont rhyme, rap, or stay on beat lol)...Cardi is somewhere in-between and closer to the floor....but she's not "terrible" rapper.....i'd say more mediocre because she can perform the raps better than I think a lot of people expected.
 
I know she got writers,but as far as the rapping on her songs itself,she's a great mainstream artist/rapper.

She uses all the current styles and flows but with a NY/Latino twist.

She's no barsmith but she's decent.

I'm not riding around blasting that shit,but that Up song is catchy.

She’s not any worse than the other crab ass rappers out here. At the very least she’s entertaining & that’s really all you need these days. Not everyone needs to be a lyrical miracle rapper to be successful Flex know this. He just want attention.
