False allegations do happen but i really dont think they happen that much more than the actual crime tho.

Got accused when I was 18 at my job because I didn't wanna mess with this married chick smh.

Friend of mine got accused last month for the same reason.

I get that but it was priven you aint do it right? Im not saying lying is fine bruh im just saying women aint large scale falsely accusing folks of rape. Rarely are women automatically believed

Russell Simmons got the #NotMe thing going.

Only thing that can stop the #MeToo is women, because we as men can't declare it to be bullshit when we've lived in a patriarchy since the beginning of civilization.

Women have to say "knock it off sis, you were not harassed/assaulted". When the oppressed set the terms of their own liberation and empowerment, true change can take place. Anything else is uninformed patronizing chauvinism.
 
What makes it worse is that the women who actually do get harassed...get overlooked b/c women like those

I'm asking because I honestly don't know: was 17 the legal age? Was the marriage upheld by law?

Cause I don't want to conflate the issue of pedophilia with sexual harassment and assault. And their marriage lasted for years without her ever accusing him of these types of allegations.
