The interview they clarify that it was for theatrical releases. The article, which is still rumors currently, states that Snyder's universe may still be able to continue on in HBO Max. The only thing i can imagine would be to get more subscribers or maybe HBO Max will start charging subscribers a one time fee to see the movie in their library kind of like Disney has been doing with their theatrical releases.

Even if thats the case, I would imagine these movies would have a smaller budget than what Snyder would probably need especially with big battles with Darkseid. Also im sure Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, and Ben Affleck and Leto arent cheap actors to hire on. They all seemed incredibly supportive though.

Theres still rumors that Cavill and Affleck will be returning to their DC roles, but only on HBO Max.

If the rumors are all true im sure Zack and the lady at WB are just trying to keep things hush hush for awhile.
 
Also her main reasoning for claiming they werent thatrical releases is simply because of run time. With the film being 4 hours she said it is impossible to release that in theaters. The last 2 Snyder DC Films have been 3-4 hours each so he probably will keep the runtime.

I don't wanna get into headcanon here, but I'd think that the guy who wants to rule the 7 seas would want to keep powerful alien invaders off the planet

I actually dont remember her saying that. But I do remember aquaman telling them ask his half brother, who is currently on the throne. His brother doesn't like the surface world. Mera sides with aquaman and thinks he needs to be on the throne.
 
Pretty much the Atlantians and amazonians are on some " do what you want with mankind, just dont mess with us.". They really hate humans. Or at least the amazons hate men but would help human females. But they didnt want to risk revealing their island to help fight.

Their hate for man is very strong. That is why they rely on WW. WW is different from the other amazons. She is a demigoddess. So they think she can save the world. She bridges the gap. They dont Want to reveal their home no matter what.
