Press conference right now about the economy and jobs report.

Only 49k jobs added in January. Lends even more credence to getting this bill passed asap. Manchin will have to vote in favor cause those people in WV need this money.

They were asking the economic advisor questions and he responded with "I'm not going to negotiate that from the podium." That's one of Psaki's favorite phrases and genius to get out of tough questions, lol.

I might have to adopt that phrase.

The onus needs to be on the ppl. The conscious of the ppl needs to be elevated, so they elect better ppl.

But crazy ppl elect crazy ppl.
You know you answered your own inquiry, right. They only voted her in because the crazy people feel grossly outnumbered, and they wanted one of their own.

She STILL has standards to adhere to while being a member of Congress. CLEARLY, she violated that standard. So, the will of her constituents have to be overturned because she violated the rules.

Get this broad out.

Nevada governor wants to allow tech companies to create local governments

The Governor of Nevada plans to introduce new legislation that would effectively allow tech companies to form separate local governments within the state. In a draft proposal obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Governor Steve Sisolak calls for creating what he calls “Innovation Zones.”

Were the legislation to pass, companies with substantial amounts of money that operate in verticals like blockchain, artificial intelligence and renewables would have the option to form local governments with the same powers and responsibilities as counties. That means they would be able to collect taxes, as well as operate things like school boards and courts.

Applications would be handled by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and only granted to tech companies that own at least 78 square miles of land. Moreover, that land would have to be away from any existing town or city, with no one living there initially. Companies would also be obligated to invest $1 billion in their slice of Nevada.

Meanwhile, governance would fall to a three-person board, with the same powers as their country commissioner counterparts. A spokesperson for the governor told the Review-Journal he will share additional details about the idea at an upcoming State of the State address.

Nevada bill would allow tech companies to create governments

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Planned legislation to establish new business areas in Nevada would allow technology companies to effectively form separate local governments.

Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak announced a plan to launch so-called Innovation Zones in Nevada to jumpstart the state’s economy by attracting technology firms, Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Wednesday.

The zones would permit companies with large areas of land to form governments carrying the same authority as counties, including the ability to impose taxes, form school districts and courts and provide government services.

Sisolak named Blockchains, LLC as a company that had committed to developing a “smart city” in an area east of Reno after the legislation has passed.

If you think this is a good idea, you must be misinformed about what big tech is really up to.

SENATE 'SICKO' Republican staffer Ruben Verastigui charged with trading child porn on website saying ‘babies are my absolute favorite’

A SENATE GOP staffer arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography images once "said babies" were his "absolute favorite" on the website he reportedly used to view photos, according to court documents.

On Friday, Washington D.C. Metro Police arrested Ruben A. Verastigui, a former social media marketer for Donald Trump's re-election campaign, after he allegedly "distributed, received, and possessed images of child pornography" between March 2020 and February 2021.

Verastigui, a former digital strategist for the Senate Republican Conference, was one of 18 people allegedly caught trading child porn on a website as part of an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security.

Verastigui, 27, allegedly went by the name "Landon" and had the handle "@somethingtaken" on the website, which remains unnamed "to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation" according to court documents seen by The Daily Beast.

News of Verastigui's arrest was first reported on Twitter by Jared Holt, a resident fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, who shared court documents containing Verastigui's allegedly explicit messages.

Joe and Jill Biden get BOOED by Super Bowl fans during pre-game video message to honor the 463,000 killed by COVID

'Before kickoff we wanted to thank all the frontline healthcare heroes both at the game and watching across the country. You put yourself at risk to keep the rest of us safe. You and your families carried us through this year with courage, compassion and kindness. We couldn't have made it without you. With all our hearts thank you.

The president said: 'Now as we thank you and all of our essential workers, let's remember we all can do our part to save lives. Wear masks, stay socially-distanced, get tested, get vaccinated when it's your turn, and most of all let's remember all those who we've lost.

'So please join us, the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the National Football League in a moment of silence for the more than 440,000 Americans who lost their lives in this pandemic and for their loved ones who are left behind.'

Instead of a moment of silence, fans in the crowd were heard booing.

The boos infuriated many Americans watching at home who took to Twitter

Days before former president Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial began, more than 100 former GOP officials reportedly hopped on a Zoom call. The topic: how to best rally whatever anti-Trump momentum is left in the party.

The talk on Friday, which Reuters reported included former elected Republicans and officials from the past four GOP administrations, touched on whether to launch a new center-right party, said Evan McMullin, the former chief policy director for the House Republican Conference, who co-hosted the call.
“Some people at the summit strongly favor starting a new party,” McMullin, who ran as an independent presidential candidate in 2016, told The Washington Post on Wednesday. “They think the GOP is irredeemable. They understand how difficult it is to form a new party, but they understand that there is no other choice.”

The call came as Trump maintains an enduring grip on the GOP even after his loss in November and incitement of a short-lived insurrection last month. A recent Post-ABC News poll found 56 percent of Republicans said Trump bears no responsibility for the Capitol attack, and a majority of Republicans said GOP leaders did not go far enough to back his baseless claims of fraud. Most GOP senators backed Trump by voting against moving forward with the trial.
But the talks are another sign of the deep divisions in the party, which has been split apart by power struggles after Trump’s defeat. Last week, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) survived a challenge to her role as the third-ranking House Republican over her vote to impeach Trump.

“I don’t believe in a stimulus check,” Ramsey said flatly. “Because if $600 or $1400 changes your life, you were pretty much screwed already. You’ve got other issues going on. You have a career problem, you have a debt problem, you have a relationship problem, or a mental health problem. Something else is going on if $600 changes your life.”

Damn! Its amazing that fox news puts on Americans that are so cruel to other Americans.
