Not these days but in the good ol days, pre covid, I'd hold doors for anyone if they were close enough and it wasn't interfering with what I was doing at the time.
If they're right behind me then yea but not if they a couple steps away
I think its gonna be the new norm after this covid shit is over that people won't be holding doors for others no more.

No. I don't do it for any kind of gratification and I probably don't want to talk to them either. Matter fact don't talk to me.
Just hurry up, and don't move slow, unless you disabled or old of course.

I hold a door for whoever. If I see someone close by, ill hold regardless of gender

If it’s one of those swinging doors, it’s just plain old rude to let the door slam in the person’s face who’s walking in behind you.
