Does Money = Freedom?

Freedom is a mindset
troof

I think you do need money. Obviously we're not talking about being homeless out on the street, but even if you have a "regular job" making, say, $30,000 per year, your not free because you have to get up and go to work 5 days a week. If it's a "good job" you'll get health and dental insurance, and a 401k package and after you've turned 65 you can retire. That's not freedom.

Freedom, to me, is not having to get up in the morning if I don't feel like it. But still having money to enjoy life; going to movies, concerts, vacationing in Hawaii, etc.

You can't tell me that somebody that lives in the projects on welfare and doesn't work is free, even if they don't have to work, they're confined to their environment and have a strict budget that they have to adhere to.
nah.....you have to set up your freedom.

you can be very free living on $30k. you just need to be more crafty then someone with a $80 job

to answer the thread.......yes.....you can be free and money can give you that.

money is the tool to break out the financial prisons some people lock themselves in.

....so question...

if money wasnt a problem.........where would yall be right now? once ya mind right....i can bet very happy.

Pretty much everything you feel is holding you down can be singled out and attacked

Identify your shackles and remove them.

I mean, I'd like to travel. It would be cool to go on a vacation every quarter; Paris, Rio De Janeiro, Egypt, Hawaii, etc. It seems like you'd have to have either a job that pays for your travel expenses, or earning at least $100k per year to travel like that.

wrong bruh...you have to plan.

back before i started my business....i wasnt really making much but i planned my trips for the next year and saving accordingly.

a $100k can do alot but then it can not be enough depending on how you travel and what you do.

i think your idea of traveling might be off a bit

Here's how I see a trip to Paris, Rio De Janeiro, Egypt or Hawaii

Round Trip ticket (first class) - $2,000
Hotel (Suite) - $2,000
Expenses - $2,000
Bringing a chick/family with you - $4,000
Miscellaneous - $5,000

Total - $15,000

If you can do that whenever you want you're free.

If you have to save up a year in advance, you're not free.

depending on what airport you traveling from and when you buy the tickets......economy might cost you about $1400 for two round trip
hotel....depends on your taste....but plenty of nice hotels for about 150 euros a night. might be in the further out districts but so what.
dont eat out every fucking night.......nigga walk ya ass to the supermarket and eat at local hole in the walls. you can get a nice breakfast in paris for like 10 euros/pp eggs croissant , coffee.
the chick want to go shopping...everything she buys ..she gets some money back. show her reciepts at the airport and they send a check in like a month. but shit is no joke....a lot of flagship stores in paris.
expenses? you mean seeing shit?
nah....way to much. maybe a thousand to see everything...that includes seeing Versailles, eiffel tower top floor, museums are cheap....and sacre cluer is cheap..even going to the top and train tickets.....most things are along one line.

so depending on how long you going.......like $5000 and you good and you can have fun and wont need to feel like you missing out.

all you need is proper planning. travel how you live not like rockstar type niggas

You just proved my point.

I don't want economy tickets, I want to fly first class

I don't want a 150 euro hotel, I want a 300 euro hotel in the middle of the city

I don't want to eat at a hole in the wall, I want to go to the five star restaurants

And if I'm bringing a chick, or my family, they're staying in suites, not cheap hotels.

As far as shopping, I want to buy something really nice for myself, or the chick I'm with, not a coffee mug or a T-shirt.

Everything you said means you're constrained by money. Everything I said means that money isn't holding you back. Money isn't an issue. And it's not like I'm throwing money out the window. Spending $15k on a vacation to Paris isn't that outlandish. I mean, when you're on your deathbed you won't regret it. It's not like I want to buy 5 Lamborginis in different colors. I just want 1 Lamborgini, and it can be last year's model.

ok bruh im totally lost but ok.

im not one whos constrained by money. but one the flipsde...that doesnt mean the everyday man cant afford to be in the same places was my point.

at the end of the day you want an experience......but the luxury side is not necessary if you aint got it like that

but if you saying money aint an issue then what we talking about?

I'm saying that (mind you I haven't put much thought into this, but the $800M jackpot has me thinking) If I had that much money I could do whatever I want. I could go wherever I want, whenever I want, and while I'm there I could buy whatever I want. Is that freedom?

I mean, working a 9-5 and getting 1 vacation a year, that you have to save up for, isn't the same as flying to Hawaii on a whim because you're bored.

ok....i understand better now.

it is freedom....but you have to get ya mind right with that much money all at once.

you can lose it very fast trust me when i say this.

everything aint for everybody and that includes getting too much money too fast.

on the flip side....being able to have that freedom can bring boredom too

I'd be sitting in my bed during the cold months. Traveling during the hot months and not stressing.

Make the thread on how regular people can fly overseas on little money and still have a blast

I was thinking about that $850 jackpot.

If you won and set up trust funds with all of your immediate family (mother, father, siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles) so they get, say, $1,000 per week for life.

So you set up your immediate family with:

1. $1,000 per week, with 5% simple interest.

2. Joint tenancy with right of survivorship (this means that when they die, it goes to a person of their choice (spouse, kids, etc.)

3. Put it in escrow so it can't be changed

Are you free?

Is your family free?

Think about it, you never have to work again. Your family doesn't have to work again. You can have cookouts every weekend and not have to worry about paying bills.

I mean, $52k per year isn't rich by any means, but you'll never have to worry about where your next meal is coming from. If times get hard you can get a hotel room for a few weeks and figure things out.

How about $2k per week?

How about $3k per week?

A lot of this question is based on financial literacy.

How much money per week, in weekly payments, would you consider yourself "free". Meaning; You'll never have to work for anybody else for the rest of your life.

I think I'd set it up so I'd get $2k per week and my family members would get 1k per week.

Yes money is freedom. All those ideas seem good

850 million fr should have at least folks at the family reunion straight. If you business savvy might can turn it into 3 billion

Nah, chances are you gone have some people in the family that will let it go to their head and be out here fucking up

then you'll have to deal with that or either feel guilty knowing that you helped attribute to it by giving them all that money

Fuck it I wouldn’t care what they do that’s on them. Although be fucked up if one of your folks OD or get killed cuz people know.

I feel like I would build a dynasty I mean everybody ain’t gonna agree on shit. But we gonna have land and nobody struggling. Big ass estate

buy a big ass mountain.......build a gate around it.....and have tigers and gators protecting it/

i hate people
